Pulse is a headstrong Shazaprat who has yet to learn the secrets of the Multiverse he is tasked to protect. Despite his standoffish behavior towards others, Pulse, in the same breath, will to help those who are in need of his assistance. Due to the fact that he is mentally young, his views on things is often idealistic and child-like.

When he was born and gifted with the ability to speak and communicate with any being he comes across, Pulse immediately exudes a child-like curiosity about the world around him that compliments his straightforward nature. Even though he doesn't like to interact with anyone other than his creator, Taviaquin, he is willing to move past his disinterest if given the order.

His anti-social attitude shows mostly around Bayjil, who follows him on his journey to protect the multiverse. Despite the fact that she annoys him on the daily with being a burden in his eyes, he makes sure she doesn't get into danger while on their travels together. His relationship with Frazzle is the complete opposite as he gets along just fine with the creature in spite of the fact that he cannot escape Frazzle no matter how far he travels.
