Personality

Sei is predominantly concerned with her own interests, and holds no regard for any sort of ethics. She conducts experiments to her own whims, and finds some form of intellectual satisfaction while doing so. She's also disconnected from the rest of her peers, and doesn't see any merit in doing anything boring. However, she's eager to jump at anything that may lead to a new discovery. She has a teasing personality, and likes to exploit any possible bits of gossip.

The cold, sterile metal of a scalpel stroking warm flesh. Evolution and natural selection, endlessly changing and altering the unseen codes of life. The piercing gaze through a microscope, visible by clinical lab lights. For the “observer” of an experiment, she is awfully trigger happy to interfere with the events around her. Then again, she considers herself an experiment subject, too.

Relationships

Geki Sei’s childhood friend. Strangely enough, Geki is the one person Sei doesn’t experiment on unless he asks for it, and Sei is the one person Geki doesn’t project himself onto. In her opinion, she simply just finds him enjoyable to interact with. Yet they seem to regard each other as almost brother and sister, so Sei herself might be unwilling to admit that she actually cares about another person to this degree.

Story

Sei was raised in an orphanage until the age of seven, where she was adopted by a pair of scientists. Her interest in the STEM field was nurtured there, and she had access to various laboratory equipment. Her parents encouraged her to pursue her intellectual dreams, and supported her in entering multiple science fairs. Upon entering middle school, she met Geki. Unlike his peers, she had no intent to bully him, as she was fully focused on her then project of growing a rare fungus species on modified bark. At first, Sei saw his presence around her as easy access to human samples, but after several months of interacting, she began to enjoy his company, and stopped taking samples from him. The two then would often be seen together, somewhere near a laboratory of library.

In DRN1, Sei received the secret of Tamago’s real name. Teasing that she would reveal it, Sei went to the gym with several other students. A blackout happened, and she had a noose put around her neck while everyone’s vision was blocked. The stage crank was then used to pull the rope, and she died by hanging.

Trivia

● Her favorite food item is grapes, but more specifically grape juice.

● Though her right hand is covered in scars, Sei is actually ambidextrous.

● According to many witnesses, she smells like cleaning alcohol and grapes.

● It is said that the dyes in her clothes are actually pH-reactive, and change colors based on substance exposed to.

● She created the memory serum used to erase the students of Bright Future Academy.
