Ravenna

**ABSTRACT**

Ravenna, code name "Bluestar", is the edgiest vampire lady around. She’s fiery, fearless, confident, and doesn't care what people think of her. She simply cruises through life at her own pace. What's the rush when you have all of eternity? It's not wise to get on her bad side; although she may pretend to forgive, she will never forget if you have wronged her in the past. She is quiet, analytical, well practiced, and intelligent; But can also be impulsive which tends to land her in trouble more often than she likes to admit.

**BACKGROUND**

Ravenna grew up in a small village. As a child her village was attacked by a gang of rogue vampires. Her parents were able to spare her, fighting them off and giving her just enough time to escape; no one else survived the attack. She swore her revenge on the gang. Her journey began at 8 years old when she taught herself the art of the katana. By the time she turned 18 she ventured out on her own to seek her parents' killers. It took her three years to track them down. As she got close to discovering where their secret lair was, she was attacked in the woods by a vampire affiliated with the gang which destroyed her village. He turned on her and attacked, quickly overpowering her despite her juvenile efforts to kill him. She wasn’t even close to being prepared for the speed, strength, and paralyzing stare this vampire possessed. 

Luckily, a masked man was able to save her and nurse her back to health. Unfortunately, she was bit during the fight and nothing can stop the vampiric disease once it enters the bloodstream. When turned she refused help and thought she could carry on as normal. However, the moment she found herself being held back from slaughtering a child, her masked savior called on an acquaintance to assist her. His name was Vincent (not to be confused with Vinny), codename Hood. He trained her how to manage her instincts and use them for the better. He then introduced her to a secret organization known as Avira Sanctum which is dedicated to capturing rogue supernatural's and either putting them to rest or reforming them. 

She was reluctant to join the Sanctum at first and kept everyone at a distance. She had mixed feelings of anger, guilt, betrayal of her own body, and she didn’t know how to cope. Then along came Invidia, a Raven Witch designated to showing her around and getting her settled in. After refusing her therapy and training, she found herself biting Vidi despite her best efforts to control her urges on her own. Vidi tried to write it off as a joke saying the bite was “kind of hot” and no big deal but collapsed soon after as the virus began to ravage her body. 

Luckily, Vidi had previously confronted a werewolf who overclocked her powers so she would be rendered useless and unable to control her own energy. The vampiric virus ended up eating away at her powers, bringing her back down to acceptable levels. Despite being in a coma for a week, she woke up essentially fixed from her previous trauma. Ravenna knew she would never forget that she almost killed her new friend and this led her to officially accept help from the sanctum.

She gave up her immediate quest for revenge and focused on the organization, deciding her efforts were best used helping those struggling like she was and helping to end the spread of the vile supernatural diseases themselves. After successfully being reformed, she was assigned as a teacher/guardian to the orphaned children the sanctum takes in. It is her duty to raise them right so they never have to know what it’s like to struggle with their individual ailments. Along with that she is also one of the first to be sent out on hunting missions now.

She soon met Lucis during a mission to stop a masked man from tormenting a nearby city. The man in question was the ever-so-elusive angel by the name of Stygian. However, when she saw Lucis she mistook him for her target and they had it out in the streets. After fighting for a bit he managed to fend her off in time to try and clarify the situation. Embarrassed, she apologized and explained her mission. He mentioned that Stygian was his friend and was doing nothing other than pranking the townspeople but that he was there to retrieve him as well. 

Stygian instantly shipped the two and was all over them much to their embarrassment. He invited her to their hidden bounty organization known as G.H.O.S.T to offer her services as an on call bounty hunter. She agreed and did a few assignments for them. She quickly became close friends with Lucis. Perhaps it was his reserved attitude, or how he always dressed so snappy. 

After Ravenna really started to focus on the work for the Sanctum, Stygian repeatedly sent Lucis on missions which would force him to cross paths with her. Sometimes Stygian would even send him to deliver flowers and Lucis would sneak one or two to her on his way. Soon Lucis started showing up on his own for sword repairs, advice, and practice. She slowly got him to open up to her and show her his vulnerable side. Her boyfriend started to get over protective and demanded she stop seeing him. But at that moment it was too late. Lucis was the man he should have worried about all along and when faced with an ultimatum, she left him. Shortly after, Lucis and Ravenna officially started dating and they have been going strong ever since.

**RELATIONSHIPS**

**Lucis** Boyfriend|Soulmate|Shy Boi Lucis was introduced to Ravenna after she was sent on a mission to stop his friend Stygian from tormenting a nearby city. She mistook him for a troublemaker and confronted him. After realizing her mistake Stygian zoned in on them and decided they were perfect for eachother. Having Lucis wrapped around his little finger, he sneakily sent him on little missions near the sanctum so Ravenna would run into Lucis often. Eventually they connected and started to hang out. He may not have known it at the time but he had feelings for her. She tried to keep him at arms length but after she got him to drop his defenses she became enamored with the kind heart hidden beneath his emotionless facade. They finally got together and Stygian didn't bother to hold back his I-Told-You-So's. They have been going strong and steady ever since and he now makes regular trips to the sanctum to help her with the orphans and sometimes even assists her on missions.

**Invidia** Best Friend|Witchy Woman|Funny AF Invidia started off as her guide and initial welcome to the sanctum. Ravenna refused help but in her struggles to contain her own power ended up biting Vidi. Vidi ended up being okay and Ravenna, feeling terrible, finally admitted she needed help. After the incident these two are now closer than ever.  They are inseparable friends and partners in the field. 

**Hood “Vincent”** This vampire is famous for being quick on his feet. He is usually characterized by the deep-set hood he wears which covers up his whole face. He is Rav’s mentor and friend. He introduced her to the guild and helped her learn to live with vampirism.

**Toriel** she is in love with this sweet child… teen… man??? What IS Tori? Regardless of not really knowing what he is, she enjoys spending time with him. He's almost animalistic in behavior, like a good dog. You'll often see her taking him out for walks. He's a good boy.

**Stygian** Can she really call him a friend? He annoys her to all hell but something about him leaves her laughing at the end of the day. He's a pain in the ass, but a fun pain in the ass. She is grateful for his efforts to push her and Lucis to date despite how embarrassing it was.
