A sarcastic, rather reckless person. Alex is incredibly daring, testing even Aniza Nam's dark side, but knows when to back off. He has given up on his life, and chooses to kill because it is the only stimulation he will ever get. Finds pleasure in others' pain and frustration.

The "dog" of the Empire. A captured convict of the former Guild of Running Winds, now is a well seasoned, very successful assassin. Has been ordered to kill himself if ever captured. Used to mostly wipe out whoever defies the Empire or finds the dark secrets of the Empire or Guild. Officially prisoner under Aniza Nam, who is responsible for keeping him in line. The choker on his neck is to regulate his mana, location, et cetera. A friend of his was brutally killed when she tried to defy the Empire's orders. Has now learned a lesson and follows along with whatever is wanted of him.
