Speaking trait:  Rather emotionless.. with life sucked out.. though tends to be a bit of a dick despite wishing for death to come asap.

Character traits: Nihilism all the way, dickish, actually very little personality, though inside he's terrified and amazed by the world at the same time.

Specific traits: Needs special boots to support his weight because his legs can't do it alone, all his limbs are unusually thin in proportion to body, is kinda ugly tbh, tends to miss fur in some places, sometimes black accumulation of toxins leak and drip from his pores and burn into whatever surface he's on.

despite how he seems, he's very vulnerable as he's experiencing the world anew

Backstory(short version)

Age:

0: Born as a waterbender mara aaaaand left on the doorstep of an orphanage right away because parents had no monies. Good.

0-5: Living his orphan life, has really thin limbs for some genetical reasons and has trouble not being a real weakling, isn't aware of his powers so doesn't train them. Isn't hated by other kids, but doesn't really warm up to others either. Wakes up one night to hear a bunch of older kids get rebellious and blow up a wall with their powers to then run away. They notice him and take him with him, and he doesn't oppose. Hanging out with the cool kids!

5-6: Living in the streets with the coolkids who scare him saying that if he gets caught and brought back to orphanage people will hurt him a lot, so he doesn't try. Gets separated from group when it DOES get spotted by some authorities. Wanders about alone for like a month before deciding he can't do it anymore, and so he ends up getting snatched by a.. really silly looking cat. He says he'll fix the mara. He'll give them a family. He'd like a family.

6-9: Is having a lot of fun being Ernest's younger brother, he lets him choose his name Felix, because it means lucky, AND HE WAS TOTALLY LUCKY.

9-12: Gradually getting hecked up by the treatment he's given in Cat's efforts to 'fix him', with the metal stuff put in him and all the chemicals his body receives transforming him from a waterbender into a toxic powered person. He becomes very much less emotional too with his nerves numbened down.

14: Ernest leaves for studying and it kinda sucks.

15: And then comes back without most of his body. Felix spends a lot of time sitting in the hospital waiting for him to wake up.

16: Can't wait like that forever and is still getting hecked up, plus he starts training those new powers. Ernest wakes up and he spends even more time with him, even if he's barely capable of feeling emotions.

16-17: Ernest comes back and then goes away again to finish off studying, then comes back again as a scientist, and meanwhile experiments on Felix are given up on because honestly it was going nowhere plus science dad got bored. Felix becomes janitor whooo.

17: Upon taking away all the chemicals Felix is having terrible backlashes and is kinda addicted to any sorts of pills for a longer while, Ernest takes on taking care of him and they both agree to stop calling him that stupid name because it didn't fit and only brought horrible things on both of them. Felix becomes Flixter, because their imagination isn't too original.

18-19: Is pretty much considered to be bonkers, even if his addiction died down, because he simply stopped caring for everything at all, including chemicals. Ernest tries to fix that by sending him outside and forcing him to interact with people and help them while he does science stuff.

19-20: Ernest starts paying more attention to him, and he starts caring more about Ernest. He also starts living in Ernest's house because before that he basically lived in the laboratory. They also both meet Snowflake, and as much as he's a little jealous that Ernest would rather spend time with her than with him, he also cares for her because she seems to be a genuinely nice person and he's kinda curious what drives her to be that. Meets some more people but rarely cares for anyone, is more simply curious about the more peculiar cases like Princess, can't understand basic relationships, his emotions are sorta kinda back, but he prefers to pretend they're not there, and he's just waiting for death's sweet embrace.

21: The world is bland and boring, and Flix doesn't interact with it much. He has no need for it. In an effort to keep him at least a little attached to reality, Ernest paradoxically gets Flix a tablet, so he could at least interact with people online. The mara didn't do so, but he did discover the many tv series you can watch online, including an awful ton of mediocre high-school animes. Flix has never been to high school. Flix hasn't been a normal teenager. In his forever hazed, blunt state of mind and body, watching these bland animated dramas was soothing to him, sometimes even made him think he felt something of a longing...

22: Speaking of feelings, these suddenly returned. And when I say suddenly, I mean Flix spent a year in his bedroom, squirming in pain with blinds and doors shut as his nerves bloomed back, and every stimulant they met brought Flix more and more pain that Ernest couldn't treat with medicine as much as he wanted to. After months of suffering, Flix is capable of feeling again, even if not to the extent others have, but the price he had to pay for that makes him wish he didn't. Determined to not get hurt by the world ever again, he still refuses to leave the house despite Ernest's pleads. He's content enough just watching his stupid cartoons.

It's just that now that his feelings are clearer, the longing just... keeps getting... stronger...
