Ashenberry is a very easily upset, sensitive she-cat who is often on the verge of tears for no reason in particular. She's quiet, keeps to her self and finds it hard to open up until Brindle manages to helps her. After that, while she's still introverted and can still get sad, she copes with it a lot better and turns into a very compassionate and funny cat despite the hardships she faced. She's very motherly in the soft spoken, supportive way and cares for all cats as if they are her kits. She's somewhat naive and always tries to see the best in people.

Ashenberry sadly lost her parents at a young age, her parents killed in a freak fox accident when she was just a kit. Although the medicine cat apprentice, Shadepaw, and the other nursery queens made sure Ashenkit had everything she needed, but Ashenkit still felt the loss of her parents heavily. Because of this, one of her main asperations was to have kits, so that they could have the parental warmth her parents couldn't give her. Towards the end of her apprenticeship, she met a tom by the name of Stinger. He was funny, kind, ambitious and handsome. Within a short amount of time, the two fell head over heels for each other.

Stinger was next in line as leader of a rouge group, with his stone cold dad as the current leader. He lost his mother when he was young, so he and Ash bonded over their shared grief. Almost as soon Ashenberry got her full name, she took off to live with Stinger as his mate. Merely a moon later she found that she was pregnant. Both of them were young, and they weren't ready to be parents or mates. Stinger broke up with her one night, and kicked her out of his father's group.

Ashenberry, heavily pregnant, went to the only place she could. Her old clan. After seeing her condition, Shadepetal demanded she was let back in. She retired to the nursery, disgraced and heartbroken, to have her kits. There she met Brindle, a stern yet loving and affectionate young permanant nursery queen who had joined the clan in her absense. Brindle helped her slowly heal from the break-up, and Ashenberry began to develop feelings for her even though she had always assumed herself to be straight.

It took a while for her to muster the courage, but after a fox attack Brindle confessed her love for Ashenberry. Ash was overwhelmed, and confessed back, realising all at once that she was bisexual. Shortly after, Ash's kits were born, two tom-kits and one she-kit. One of her sons tragically died shortly after he was born, but her other two kits survived, Hemlockkit and Chirpkit. Ashenberry loved them a lot, but she had a hard time connecting with them due to the loss of their brother and her mate. She only really was able to connect to them when she and Brindle met Stinger out in the forest with his new girlfriend, and Ash was able to get closure after he apologised and promised to make it up to her.

Now, Brindle and Ashenberry live their lives together as mates, taking care of Ash's kits.
