A very shy and anxious boy, Noah has never been very upfront and is often quite passive about the friends he makes; people just generally gravitate to his sweet nature and he soon finds himself within many cliques. However, because of this lack of agency, the friends Noah makes often end up hurting him somehow - he is awfully sensitive and is overwhelmed easily, so he takes any minor offense to heart. Noah ultimately believes that people have good intentions and is much more likely to blame himself than to blame anyone else. Because of this, he ultimately tried to just survive through the trauma of middle school which ended up causing him to hate himself and become rather self-destructive.
Speaking of which, Noah's psyche and general descision-making are controlled by the four fragments of his being - Heart, who makes Noah do what's kind, Body, who makes Noah do what's healthy, Mind, who makes Noah do what's smart, and Soul, who makes Noah do what's right. The power balance between these fragments decides for the most part how Noah treats himself and how he treats the people around him. The strong leadership of Heart and Soul lead Noah to spend most of his time pleasing people and helping them whenever possible, for better or for worse - Heart's volatile reaction to Noah's friends leaving him in middle school and Soul's blind agreement with Heart caused Noah to give up most of himself to making others happy... at least until he can get the help he needs from his new friends.
