But when an accident claimed Cooper's life, leaving him dying in Hadley's arms, the poor moussum became a shut-in, unable to cope with the loss of the only person who they really felt relaxed and happy to be around. It always gnawed at the back of his mine when he thought about the incident; what happened, how it happend, and how if things were different, maybe He'd still be alive. The overwhelming emotions from and rampant anxiety attacks they had on a regular basis with nobody to help calm them down got to them a lot. So much so that between scarred arms and long nights crying, they couldn't really go on with living anymore...

At least, until he Met Nico through a bit of an accident and a certain Vampire bat finding the smell of blood on hadley rather.. intoxicating. Wanting to know more about Hadley, He kept following them around, trying to get to know them until one way or another, the two wound up dating.

Other stuff:

Hadley's body is surprisingly resillient to most injury than others which is a blessing in disguise for accidents and really bad injuries if they ever got into either
If his anxiety attacks get really really bad, His body will just feign death and play possum as a last ditch defense mechanism

Hadley's senses are able to unconsiously tune into the other side, letting him see, hear, and talk to ghosts and spirits of the dead, albeit unreliably so.  Think of it as being on the edge of two radio stations broadcasting on the same frequency; while one can come out just find, sometimes the signals bleed into each other. Depending on where hadley's senses are on that "signal overlap", Spirits can wind up manifesting for unpredictable amount of times ranging from blink and youll miss it moments, to  long enough to have full conversations with them. His connection with the supernatural is partly why Hadley got so interested in ghost hunting to begin with, talking to the dead, and maybe being able to talk with their brother one last time.
