Onyx is a former homewold gem made to entertain high-ranked gems. Unlike Spinels or Pearls they aren't owned by anyone in particular, they just go around to events or places they're told to on their own.

Having become tired or low-energy and hard to impress audiences, Onyx just left one day- it was surprisingly easy.

She currently lives among a fairly large colony of gems in a ravine and abandoned kindergarten on homewold, though she occasionally makes her way up to the surface to look for inspiration and new material. Most of the colony never leaves, so they're unaware of Era 3. (Onyx does know, but doesn't care to tell anyone yet)

Onyx never speaks. It's unknown if she can't, or if it's just part of the act.
