Overview:

Constantly smiling and always pleased to see you, being near Akira gives everyone a distinct sense of unease though, like being watched by a predator.
While he has no outward indicators, there's just some sort of sinister air that hangs around him. No-one really knows anything about him, because no-one has ever gotten close to him, or wanted to because of how uncomfortable he makes them feel.

History:

Akira was once the familiar of a wizard who specialized in magical objects and lived a generally content and peaceful life travelling with his master.
He was a curious soul though, and one day decided to poke around in his master's storeroom, where all the most powerful and cursed objects were. In there he found a particularly powerful talisman - one of the tails from a ninetails kitsune. Upon touching the item, Akira was transformed into a kitsune himself, being able to transform into a small boy at will.
His master didn't treat the incident lightly though - the talisman has lost it's power and therefore it's value. As punishment, Akira was made to do all the menial jobs that the wizard himself couldn't be bothered to; from cooking to cleaning and everything inbetween. This caused Akira to become resentful of his master, even though he was learning more and more magic as time went on.
Eventually, something changed in him and he snapped, eventually killing the wizard and stealing all his magic/money. Akira then started travelling on his own, trading cursed items to foolish and stupid people in return for small fortunes.
