Caretta

Whatever it was that led to Caretta being injured and beached, the sea turtle is extremely tight-lipped about it. Since the incident, Caretta has shown no interest in returning to the ocean again. She hides her scars behind bandages and lots of clothing. 

She is typically quiet and prefers observing anyone she meets first and foremost. Throughout the years, she's come off as being gloomy and unsocial, but actually has a relative tolerance in interacting with other folk for Cali's sake. On her bad days though, her tolerance for social interaction shortens, and she becomes snappish. On occasion, even in her most mundane state, she may accidentally offend folk with blunt comments. 

Around Cali, she is far more kindhearted and expressive. Although it took her awhile to admit it, she's grateful to Cali for being the one who found her and nursed her back to health.  When Cali becomes over imaginative, it's typically Caretta who sets her back on track.

+ a bad habit of napping throughout the day, (most often while reading. has woken up with a book imprint on her face more than once) and suffers from awful bed hair.
