While Rufus can come off as a little intimidating and strict, he tries his best to be approachable, and proves to be quite genuine. He selfless, trying his best to help others regardless if they are a friend or a stranger to the best of his abilities, even if he ends up having to put others before himself.
Rufus also proves to be very resourceful and while the majority of the time he is sensible, is known to improvise if he has to, using what he has on hand or whatever is lying around as a makeshift medical supply or a weapon.
Rufus carries a lot of determination, so much so it can be dangerous, and makes him think irrationally. When someone else is in danger, he is willing to risk himself to save the other. What people don't know is that Rufus is a little unhinged, and, will stubbornly do what he thinks is right even if it's technically morally wrong. It's hard to change his mind and is difficult to persuade unless he's guilted into it, or snapped out of it by someone close to him.
This monster hybrid is also very reserved, and bottles up his problems. He comes off as very sombre and is not very good at expressing how he feels emotionally, usually ending up very quiet. Rufus is a massive hypocrite, however, as he tends to poke his nose into other's issues. He doesn't mean to come off as intentionally nosy, and usually only does it out of concern for others' wellbeing.

Backstory
Rufus's past is something he's rather keep mostly hidden.
In the present, he is a registered TPS (Third Party Doctor), who specialises in the research and treatment of supernatural beings, fae and mutants, who are not permitted inside public hospitals. This includes himself. He is more than qualified to carry out medical treatment on humans as well, and has a strong grasp on human anatomy, including the weak points of the body. He did study accordingly and legally holds his PhD.
In the town he resides in, he's seen as an outcast, the majority of the citizens there being highly religious or sectarian. People often gossip about him, and shun him for his horns. Society genuinely believes he is potentially a mass murderer for the Devil, and a blight on mankind along with other supernaturals and fae, which couldn't be farther from the truth.
ABILITIES
Healing Abilities - Rufus has the power to heal physical injuries.
Sacrifice of the Blood - Using his own blood, he can heal minor wounds and conditions such as tiredness, if he can get someone to drink it. While it does have the potential to heal further, but drinking large quantities is not recommended of course, as he is aware of it being a very queasy subject - throwing up anything drank may revert the injury back to normal. Applying his blood to a wound will not do anything. Rufus has at times given vials containing it disguised as a strong painkiller to patients, mixing it with other things to make it less suspicious and more pleasant to drink.
Sacrifice of the Limb - Not only blood, but the sacrifice of his limbs via amputation can also heal another, only to a greater extent. It will eliminate anything considered a major injury, including lost limbs, which will immediately grow back from where they were severed. Rufus sadly cannot replace the limbs he has lost. They cannot grow back, and cannot be sewn back on as they decay rapidly when severed.
Limbs also include his organs, when removed.
Despite his healing abilities, and while he is able to revert physical damage to the brain, Rufus cannot fix mental illnesses.
He cannot utilise his sacrificial abilities for healing himself.
