The Jester
If the Roles were swapped and I was the cursed one, I think that would be fine with me. I mean, I wouldn't know any better, so who's to say this isn't a better outcome? I know it makes no sense, but let's pretend for a moment that I could step into your shoes...
In a theoretical world in which Rain switches places with the Hero as cursed undead amnesiac, her Role is the Jester and she was kept in or near the castle to entertain the Narrator. Apparently at one time she was the benevolent and beloved Outlaw, leading her troupe of Merry Marauders across the Stage stealing from the rich and giving it back to the poor. Even her enemies admired her charisma and skill, and what she could not achieve through stealth she could win through cunning. It is said that one day she stole something too precious, something she was never meant to have and thus what she coveted above all else. The generous Outlaw stole for herself, and because of this a precious life was lost and she was punished. Now bells adorn her so she cannot move without being heard and her Role of Jester means she can never be taken seriously ever again.
Despite her condition, she is a kind and friendly Thespian, eager to help a new face and keep them out of danger and entertained. She is very skilled at what she does, so even if one is aware of her tragic fate she will likely bring a smile to their face eventually. Kith she is more uncertain around, as she still sees them as the Stagehands they used to be. She will feel compelled to cheer up a kith that seems down, however, her programmed Role overriding her fears. The one kith she tolerates is the Mawnite Typhon, her only ally.

Typhon Her only kith ally in this AU. He helped her to break the Narrator's hold upon her performance, and she helped him free all of his kind. He is the only kith she is comfortable around, and is the only one that has proven able to tell her things that her curse has made her forget.
What? I don't understand...
