Past life in the deserts

Before having moved, he used to live in desert alongside his "human" friend. He grew up there and learned everthing from survival to exploration to buisness and trading. He and his friend shared a lot of traits and were inseperatable, almost.
Living their in a half ruined place, their goal besides surviving and living life was rebuilding the cities that got wrecked or disappeared. There was a legend about a world eating snake, that once appeared on the surface of the desert, going around and having wrecked most of the cities and towns that once stood there. One day, a giant black crow appeared out of the sun, turning the day to night, has fought the snake, deafeating her and returning back to the sun and never appearing again. His friend told him the legend and also that the sun/crow wished to have the cities rebuild that have fallen.
So they focused on both, surviving and also trading with the neighbour towns but also rebuilding towns while only living by themselves and eventually with some other villagers.
Khai's outfit was also made by his friends and is like a copy and forever memory of his outfit.
With the times passing, people from wealthier lands started complaining about their works. They accused them for stealing from temples and ruins, even though it belonged to no one and he used them to rebuild the ruins aswell, being called words and getting blamed for most of the time, eventually even having to give up his belongings.
One night, the villagers were found dead.
And the next day, his friend was too. He gave up and dried infront of the sun, not being able to take stuff anymore.
With his friends death, he felt like the sun betrayed him and is the one to blame his friends death.

He lived there a weeks,months and later years, burying them and tending to their graves. He could not let go and lived alone in the desert.
He lived there alone, with his shadow and thought it would end the same way for him, nearly giving up, until his shadow changed form into a crow.
It flew around him, telling him to move on. All and everything shouldn't be for nothing. So he decided to move on, and fleed to the torimori dimension.

Life in Torimori Dimension

Having moved to the Torimori Dimension, his life has changed. It was full of resources and you wouldn't need to worry about missing on food or anything. It was the whole difference than living in the desert. He may still prefer the hot desert over the many fields and forests, since he is no fan of changes. Landing there, he instantly felt like it was too cold for him and got sick the first days in the dimension, especially at night. He would also try to not interact with other Torimoris at first because of his fear of getting too close to them and eventually losing somone dear to him again.
One of the first Torimoris he met was Dream, who helped him and guided him through the nights. He can't see very well at night and was pretty much blind without their light and help. He tried his best to not get too close and friendly to them.
He explored most of the meadows, trying to find resources and find a way to start somekind of buisness, which he was very much used to in his former home. 

Khai And the shadow guild

Being part of the Shadow guild, Khai is the Shadowtoris right hand and manages the guild. First meeting the shadow tori at night, he only saw it's two glowing eyes, but even just that he could feel a strong connection to it. They both share something they are not really aware off. Even though the Shadow is not talking at all, Khai is the only one who can fully understand it.
In the guild, Khai manages the bank, organizes events and tournaments, but also is the one to do buisness for the guild to their advantage and growth.
Even though the guilds place is very dark and he can barely see there at all, he feels very safe there and almost like at a new home.
