Valdiv is the Army Chief of Staff of the Country of the Touch (Pays du Toucher), a high position. He despises no-eyed Valéïs and considers them as sub-valéïs.

He's usually calm, smart, a bit sadistic, lacks a little empathy, and is quite distant in public but tactile in private. He has a "cat personnality", which means he can be very playful and quickly get back to being serious or agressive. Also he stays with people who are useful to him.

He has made his entire career in his country’s army, never made a fuss, and gradually rose in rank. That means his telekinetic ability is also powerful. He has some trust issues, for no specific reason, and doesn't have real friends. But it doesn't bother him because he's more comfortable with people he can command to. At some point Valdiv got attached to Valère, a soldier, with whom he had a relationship for a while, but ended up being rejected because Valère was already married and didn't like Valdiv's disgust for no-eyed Valéïs, having himself a no-eyed daughter. During their time together he became a bit softer, and Valère discovered that his boss could actually be genuinely nice if you managed to befriend him.

He lives in the capital, in a small mansion with a huge library.

One day he met Valkäre, a hunter from the Frozen Lands (the context varies since I love to re-imagine this scene) and at first they hated each other. Now they just pretend to do so; they still argue but are actually dating.

Likes : his job and power, (being a pain), order, reading, beetroots, his collection of dild-//PAN// _{*ouch, ok I stop*}, flirting with his male subordinates or embarrassing them, and cuddles because he still needs to feel loved sometimes. 

Dislikes : his authority being questioned, to apologize, big events with a lot of bustle.

Background/species info

His name comes from the "Vel' d'Hiv Roundup" from WW2.

Valéïs, plural of Valéï, are a closed species created by Dagyne from DeviantArt and Pokébip. Their name must start with "Val" (great source of puns), which is also the name of their Creator. 

• They have 14 other gods, and 6 guardians of the 5 senses (plus divination), who all actually live in their world, and rule the 15 existing countries.
• They become adult at 25 years old, can live up to 200, and start showing signs of aging at 150 years old.
• They are shizeshifters, but changing size costs them energy so they usually choose a size they like and keep it.
• They don't have arms, instead they use telekinesis. The power varies among individuals, but they can train to become more powerful. Valéïs can't use telekinesis on things they cannot see, except routine things that humans can do without watching (like bringing your mug of coffee to your mouth while reading the newspaper)
• They have from 0 to 3 eyes, in ascending order of rarity : 2 > 3 > 1 > 0. Valéïs can also have some mutations, like a vertical eye, a snout, and slime instead of neck fur.
• There are 5 "types" of Valéïs : Occidental, Tropical, Polar, Celestial and Oriental.
• They have markings on their face and legs, usually only one and it's uncommon to have markings on both legs.
• There's no sexual dimorphism between males, females, hermaphrodites and sexless Valéïs. (they have a weird reproduction system, don't ask me)
