So is Never actually capable of showing emotions, or does she purposefully hide it from people? If so, why?

I imagine she has emotions but they're ever-so-slightly stunted? So less extreme than usual? And then she witholds them further to attempt to stop being getting overly attached to her or anything? WELCOME TO 'BIG GREY AREAS' THE CHARACTER.

Prooobably Pelt. I'd say more-than-likely him above anyone else. At the same time he's probably the one she uses as most justification of not being too revealing with emotions.

So if she can manipulate light, does she therefore manipulate the shadows or darkness? What can her abilities do?

I sorta imagine it kinda photon-based? I know very little about how it works, but essentially some of it is like blocking the passage of light - so yeah, shadows and stuff. Also being able to wrap light around objects, so essentially invisibility. Those sorts of things.
