About

Lilith is closely guarded and does not trust readily - a lesson reinforced over thousands of years and many bitter experiences. Her time among the circles of Hell has only sharpened her scrupulous nature and she keeps herself composed and distant, adapting what she would consider a queenly facade. This facade has a touch of adopted playfulness in it, which she cultivated over the years in her role as Queen of Lust, although it also gives her an air of menace so as to dissuade those who would think her an easy target. Life has hardened Lilith, and those who have known her innermost thoughts and not used her for their own ends do not extend beyond three individuals - a number she would prefer to keep that way. To her subjects, she is even-handed and professional, perhaps a bit dull, but those who work with her more often in the Tower might see a glimmer of her sharp mind in her actions and words, as well as the soft heart underneath for children and women.

For those who have wronged her, be it accidentally or with intent, Lilith never forgets a slight, and she never forgives. Anger simmers close to the surface and while she does her best to maintain composure, she is prone to violent rages when betrayed; anger has driven many of the decisions in her life as she struggled against those with more power than her who attempted to hold her back. Her rages have lessened over the years as Asmodeus' chain around her neck grows ever tighter, and the circle of people who can sell her secrets to her King shrinks. Her biggest point of contention is with Samael - one of her most hurtful betrayals and her deepest regret at going where he could not.

Abilities

The Lilim: Lilith's army of shadow creatures that she uses to various ends. Animalistic in form, they are of a hive mind and do not hold any individual personality of their own, as they are made only to temporarily assist her. In her loneliness, she does display trace amounts of affection by scratching their chins or placing a kiss on their heads. Born of her shadow, they are strongest in the darkness and during evening and can only accomplish tasks when their mistress is nearby; while not impossible to summon during daytime, they are weaker and their capabilities are not as strong. With considerable effort, Lilith can also create a giant lilim to aid her, but this leaves her vulnerable as it drains her energy. They also have stronger physical effect on supernatural creatures than they do on mortal beings, although demons would not consider them a threat.

Portal Use: Gifted to her by Astaroth to spite Asmodeus, Lilith has the ability to utilize portals between Purgatory and Hell. Because she is not inherently a magical being, she still cannot create the portals herself, but she is able to use them and withstand the instantaneous travel they grant her.

Immortality: Lilith is immortal thanks to eating fruit from the Tree of Life. Because of this, in her natural state she appears no older than 30, but being alive for so long and her time as Queen of Lust have had its effects on her body: her skin has ashened in color, her hair has lost all sense of curl and body to it despite its length, and her eyes are old and tired. Old age or mortal illness will never take her, but she is not impervious to injury.

Glamour: Another gift from Astaroth, Lilith is able to shift her appearance as a means of disguise.. This has been especially helpful when she flees to Purgatory for a while to escape her husband's eye.

Layla Camilla Hayes

Lilith once cultivated a number of different personas in an attempt to escape scrutiny from Asmodeus and the perceived hatred she feels mortals might feel for the so-called "demon" Lilith. Over time and with her husband finding the cracks in each disguise, these have watered down into one mortal disguise. Lilith now works under her earthly disguise's middle name as an exotic dancer named Camilla at a club called Arabesque Allure. It is the only route open to her now that Asmodeus has noticed and controlled all of her portal use. In the fair few times when she is able to slip out into the city, she takes it upon herself to accompany girls who are being followed or cajoled by men to dissuade their pursuers, either through her own means or the Lilim.
