Gulf is a spunky go-getter who is in training to be a lifeguard. He's innocent, cheerful, and childish- in both the best (And worst) ways. He's still learning how to swim well and save people so he's bound to be a bit clumsy and make some mistakes, but he never gives up his determination to be a hero and save lives. He isn't extraordinarily bright or strong, but you can never fault him for trying his best in anything he sets his mind to. He means well, but he is pretty impulsive and reckless, and his naiive nature stems from his youth and lack of experience. He can be a bit of a brat and insist he knows best even when he's clearly wrong. He has trouble taking responsibility and owning up to his mistakes.

After losing his father, Gulf was determined to become a hero in his footsteps. He's motivated to help people in an effort to make his father (His biggest inspiration) proud. He tries his best to do the right things even if it costs his well being (To the disdain of those around him), and he can sometimes be so interested in 'helping people' that it becomes overbearing or annoying rather than actually helpful.

He's full of energy and life and shares that rowdy personality with those around him, and many say his drive is infectious. 

Gulf's father was the head lifeguard at a popular beach and tourist spot, a rather 'mundane' job but one he took great pride in. His father was known for saving many people and keeping the beach safe, and Gulf spent many days watching his father perform his duties, whether it was dragging out drowning people, helping the injured on the shore, teaching about the ocean life, or warning of coming weather. When his father passed away suddenly of illness, Gulf set out to make it his mission to be just like his old man.

He started in the lessons- given an early shot due to his father's reputation, and set about following in his footsteps the best that he could.

He's still in his training period to be a lifeguard- as he's still learning everything his father knew and he doesn't want to be "A real lifeguard" until he feels like he's good enough, but he'll get there one day!
