About
Blaise was raised by a pack of Arcanine and Growlithe up to the age of five, when he was found and adopted by a hiker and his wife. He's currently the leader of the Fire Gym in Meteor City, in Velkin. He's also the drummer, main rapper and leader of the locally popular rap punk band "The Hotheads."
The Team
MIKO - Arcanine (♂), brave nature. Playful, protective. He's like a brother to Blaise.
KENNY - Blaziken (♀), adamant nature. Quick-tempered, confident. Big sister type.
ALDRIC - Talonflame (♂), modest nature. Wise, kind. A bit of an awkward loner.
VI - Alolan Marowak (♀), serious nature. Witty, proud. She's introverted and quiet, but overprotective of Blaise. She gets shy around Kenny.
LORENZO - Quilava (♂), calm nature. Arrogant, intelligent. He's hard to get along with, but craves affection. A bit of a tsundere I guess.
ALFIE - Velkian Scraggy (♂), sassy nature. Jokester, charming. He's friends with everyone in the team, and seems to have a crush on Aldric.
ELISE - Vulpix (♀), impish nature. Intense, undisciplined. She's Blaise's companion Pokémon, who adopted herself into the team. She starts trouble with the rest of the team a lot.
Story so far
Although his Blaziken was technically his first pokémon as a trainer, the Arcanine in his team has been with him since childhood. He was originally from the pack he was raised in, and followed the hiker home when he took Blaise. As he traveled the world in his journey, he gained a bit of a reputation, getting called "feral boy" because of his over-aggressiveness and a few incidents where, after all of his pokémon had fainted, he'd run up and punch the trainer that had beaten him.
Having been homeschooled in the mountains by his adoptive parents, he realized he didn't know all that much about the world once he'd set out. When he was fifteen, he joined a gang just because they'd asked. Two years later however, when he found out about how they abused of their pokémons abilities, he beat them all up and left, taking an Alolan Cubone with him.
He was awarded the position of gym leader a little over a year after he first arrived to Meteor City, after he discovered this very same gang was active there and he single-handedly fought them out, freeing hundreds of pokémon in the process. Blaise's gym, the Flaming Rock Concert Venue, is exactly what it sounds: an open air concert venue, where the battleground is the stage where The Hotheads play, and the trainers a challenger has to defeat to get to him are actually Blaise's band members and manager. He's been the gym leader for four years now.
Personality
Blaise is independent, confident, and daring. He's a very loud man with a very loud personality, he's quite the punk. He's petulant, arrogant, and frankly dickish. He's a provocateur, always looking for a fight. He sees every other gym leader as a rival. He wants to reach the top, and sometimes it seems he doesn't care who he steps on to do it.
He is, however, different on camera. He respects his manager a lot, and when they say he shouldn't be so blunt in public or he'll bring the band down with him, he listens. To an average person, although intimidating, Blaise is quiet and reserved, only speaking up to make a fire pun here and there. His fans tend to think he's quite shy! But his friends and co-workers know the truth: sparing a few gentle moments and the care he shows his team, he's an asshole.
Team
Relationships
The Ice Type gym leader. They don't really know each other outside their respective professional workspaces, but Blaise thinks she's extraordinarely beautiful and likes her Vulpix. He sees her as a rival.
The Grass Type gym leader. The two boys get along surprisingly well, despite their differences. Blaise holds a lot of respect for his talents and his hardworking nature. He sees him as a rival.
The Flying Type gym leader. Celeste is Blaise's vitriolic best friend and favorite rival. To an outsider, it looks like they hate each other because of how much they fight, when in fact it's the exact opposite.
The Fairy Type gym leader. Blaise doesn't like her because of her motherly attitude towards him. He thinks of her as a rival.
The Electric Type gym leader. Jude is Blaise's other best friend and favorite rival. They always have a lot of fun when they're together, he's one of the few people Blaise feels like he can be himself with.
The Bug Type gym leader. Blaise actually acts (semi) decent around her! The fact that she made fire-themed food for him when they first met cemented her place as a dear friend of his. He also sees her as a rival!
The Ghost Type gym leader. Blaise doesn't like them because they're weird and live alone in a creepy mansion. He doesn't like to fight them, either.
