Giles has a pretty balanced personality. He is mostly at peace with himself and shows a high concentration with everything he tries to do. This may be one of the reasons why he can stand Lane in the first place. Being able to transform into a snow sheep is something he is not to proud of and he would rather not talk about it.

He has a fondness for old looking shooting weapons and tries his best to mantain them and care for them. His most cherished one is more often than not strapped to his back. He even went as far as giving her a name 'the old one'. While he actually isn't even that big a fan of contracted work, Lane is. He likes to see Lane happy and thus he helps her with the work.

Hailing from a small village of mercenaries who were known for their strength, Giles never saw a different way for him in life. Not that he wanted something different in the first place.
All trough his childhood and teenage years he grew up to be a great help in any battle, getting even better when he decided to team up with Lane as to combine their powers. However he never told anyone about his shapeshifting condition.
Shapeshifting wasn't something unheard of in his village and many could do it but, as Giles put it: 'They all look so indimidating and here I am, the sheep'. Because of him being ashamed, he never learned to control the ability and never contracted with someone, in fear of transforming in situations were he needed the control.
Lane stayed with him. Time flew by and soon the village was barren, as the kings of the kingdoms which were at war, contracted everyone. Being all to themselves was all the more awful than not being able to live up to ones ability and so they went south in search for work in the city.
