History: Nikita was quick to set herself apart. She was born austerless, and horribly ugly. Her baby coat stuck out from her body as if she’d been electrocuted, her neck and ears were comically long, and she had the strangest nose. Her only redeeming trait was her silver mane, but that soon faded into a coat of grey. Her parents loved her dearly... but she was far from their dream child. Growing up, she was teased relentlessly by the other fawns. She used to try and fight them. It took a few scuffles for her to realize that it simply wasn’t worth the trouble. Instead, she directed her energy at more constructive things. She wanted to be like her father. As she matured, she got no less ugly, but she did get stronger, both physically and mentally. She could endure the odd looks of her herd mates with ease. She joined the guard, and quickly moved up in the ranks. Then the dragons came. And her life changed. The landscape shifted, and strange things started happening. Nikita was never much concerned with supernatural affairs, but even she couldn’t deny it when her own home began to change. Many beautiful new features graced the land, but other things... they weren’t quite so welcome. The wolves were of particular concern. The guard had to step up its game if they wanted to protect Auster, and Nikita was eager to help. Her father died peacefully soon after the arrival of the creatures known as the Whispering Guardians. Though she knew they had nothing to do with it, she couldn’t help but harbor an odd sort of resentment against the strange beasts. Their music had been on the breeze as he’d taken his last breath. She has since thrown herself into her work. She sees it as a way to honor her father, and maintain a sense of normalcy in this crazy new world. Her mother worries for her. Nikita is always disheveled, and has taken an odd gleam in her eye. If anyone asks, though, she’ll insist she’s fine. In fact, she’s never been better.
