About
Emile recently chose to turn his back on a relatively comfortable life, opting instead to wander Cyrodiil's countryside and providing alms to travelers in need of help in the name of his god. Things get a bit out of hand when he apprehends an argonian in the wilds outside Kvatch, though.
Backstory
The estranged heir of a Redguard steel foundry, Emile was the middle child and eldest son of a family based in Chorrol. He'd talk about his decision as one that was for the better: his older sister wanted the position more, and he only was favored over her for being born a man. His out: religion. A deep and genuine devotion to The Nine, and to Stendarr specifically.
Emile also had an easy way with people, and whatever he coudln't make or find for himself, he usually found no trouble bartering for. Still, living outside the usual boundaries of cities tended to make a person run across some weird situations.
When he intercepted an argonian he suspected of murder (worse, possibly a member of the Dark Brotherhood,) taking him to the nearest city of Kvatch would prove to change the courses of both their lives and bind their fates for the foreseeable future as the two stumbled into the beginnings of The Oblivion Crisis.
Trivia
- Emile is eventually infected with were-boar strain lycanthropy. This gives him permanent but small tusks.
- He's kind of dense when it comes to romance. Cannot pick up on those cues.
Relationships
Hides-in-Sunlight
Friend/Companion
Emile didn't expect to like the stealthy mage, frankly. But for all his contradictions and strange moral stances, Sun is dutiful, and pleasant. Both have little trouble navigating social settings, and it's made aspects of facing down a daedra-induced apocalypse much easier.
Foster
Younger Sibling
It's been nearly a decade since they've interacted. He has no clue what Foster is up to, or if they're well, but he assumes they're happier wherever they are -- right?
Silas
Older Sister
Sharp and mean, with a particular distaste for men, Emile grew up trying to stay out of her way. And then continued to do so into adulthood. Not like he really cared for steel anyway.
