Sigmund Sinclair

Stiff and fiercely academic, Sinclair's haughty tone makes him feel unapproachable at times. He's always on guard, but has a soft spot for those he loves- especially if they can drive him mad. Often, if he sighs and says your name while sounding exasparated, it means he likes you. Hiding underneath that cold exterior is a love for drama, villainous panache, and sheer passion- Sinclair hones his passion like a weapon, ready to fight against all who wrong him.

Acrimony Atheneum is an enchanted library where the various books fly off the shelves on their own. Wings form whenever a new reader walks in, guiding them to where the library thinks they might read most. The books are enchanted to draw out passion in you- according to Sinclair, he feels like wrath is best when it's targeted. That's why he focuses on making you percieve an injustice to fight against... even if it's not really true.

Sigmund Sinclair was born one of two fraternal twins, and raised in the bible belt of South Carolina. His dad walked out on the family when he was 5, and his mother frequently belittled him and compared him to his 'golden child' brother, Marius. This caused him to get a bit of a rebellious streak in high school- and when he graduated, he immediately went across the country so he'd never have to see this part of his upbringing again... Though he kept in touch with Marius. After majoring in history, he worked as a librarian until the year 2019, when the six vices took over the world and started the apocalypse. Panicking, Sinclair began the drive down to South Carolina to see if Marius was alright, only to crash into a ravine nearby the state. He would up trapped in the Township of Eden, where his deadbeat dad tried- and failed- to mold him into one of the seven "virtues". Sinclair burned the city to the ground, killing his dad, and returned to South Carolina after being stuck in Eden for months, only to find Marius had become the leader of a camp of people fighting against Cardine. Sinclair and Marius get in an argument about how Sinclair is planning to storm Cardine all by himself, and he drives off to Cardine in a huff. When he gets there, he's immediately spotted, of course, but the leader of the vices, Asma, challenges him- if he can win the favour of all of them, he can free all of Cardine. He makes his way across the six dungeons, slowly but surely befriending all the vices, and falling in love with Asma. By the time he reaches them, they agree to become partners, Sinclair turning into a demon and the final vice, where he now has the power to free Cardine.
