Abraxas was an entity who rarely came to this plane, preferring instead to send a demon under his command in his place or to respond to a contract from afar: granting wishes and deals through whispered word than making a physical appearance. 

However when a practicing Warlock attempted to commune with their deity they accidentally summoned a different Wordsmith instead, rather than invoke the Trickster they meant for. 

The unintentional summon and corresponding magical backfire changed both the Warlock and the Demons very beings, tying Hexerei and Abraxas’ existence together.
