A second-year student at Yasogami High and member of the Investigation Team. Followed by malicious rumors and gossip, Kaoru initially kept to herself and discouraged any attempts at friendship. However when she is thrown into the TV world and forced to face her own Shadow, Kaoru musters up the courage to accept herself and awaken to her Persona.

Kaoru is an aloof and private person who uses aggression to keep herself safe. Despite her tough appearance, she is an anxious person at heart and is mostly all bark and no bite. After joining the Investigation Team, she slowly learns how to express herself and trust in others again.
