➳personality; athena is an energetic and enthusiastic young trainer who wears her heart on her sleeve at all times. she is a competitive soul that won't say no to a fight. she loves to prove her own strength to others and hates when they look down on her for her age. she takes battling rather seriously, but she also knows how to have fun with it and always makes sure she treats her pokemon with the upmost care for she holds them in high regard. she also cares deeply for her friends and would protect them at all costs. this is especially true for the like of hop whom she is quite close with. although she can be a bit too much to handle at times, athena is a kind person who is willing to help those in need even if she does not seem like the type. she stands up for those who are unable to fight and always puts on a brave face. the pressures of being a champion do effect her though especially given her young age. she does not take criticism all too well though she does her best to listen to what others have to say even if she might end up going against it. despite this, she does work well in teams though she doesn't have the patience for some types of trainers and can get frustrated with them quickly. athena does her best not to let people see her in such a state though for she does not want others to believe that she isn't levelheaded or unfit to be in the position she is in. the stress of being champion do take their toll on her in other ways as well. sometimes she does breakdown from the pressure of staying at the top and believes that she does not deserve what she has. this is something she will only do in front of those she trusts for she does not want others to be too concerned about her. while she can work with others, she does at time find it hard to rely on others especially in an emotional sense. she feels that she must always appear strong to others and hide many of her emotions.
