You know those free gift card giveaways that have been flooding your inbox for the past couple of weeks? Chances are that's Mae. Mae Wayer is a saleswoman disguised as an actual computer virus. Any piece of software she touches will immediately infect and destroy it, making her not very ideal for working in cyberspace. In fact, her kind are outlawed all over the digital network. Her only option to make a real living is giving away "gifts" and hosting giveaways and contests with the promise of free cash and cool prizes, hoping that a sucker will actually click on those links. She uses these as a trap to either destroy computer software and steal important information from others for her own benefits.
Unfortunately with the advancement of technology and those pesky anti-virus protection, it's making her job a lot harder. But she'll keep putting on her signature smile... after all, someone's grandmother will want a free tablet, right?
She also really loves cookies.
