Ella is beloved by the townsfolk as she cares for them through illness and pain. Her skillfully concocted poultices and tinctures as well all her warm bedside manner make her a renouned figure not only in Dievton but also in the neighbouring towns and cities, and she often travels out of Dievton to tend to patients whose conditions surpass their local physicians' abilities. She is friendly with Bao, and they advertise for each other in their respective shops. If she needs a rare or special ingredient, she prefers to deal with Greaves over Lucien, as the smuggler's lecherous gaze makes her skin crawl. Greaves sometimes accompanies her when she goes gathering in the forest, and so, over time, Ella has grown accustomed to the chaotic, electric energy the demon gives off.
Lonna caught her eye as soon as she came through her door, cheeks warm and brow damp with fever. Ella tended to her and scolded her for waiting so long to get treatment. This would come back to haunt her later as Lonna began popping in to get treatment for every little ailment and ache under the sun. It was a few months before Lonna dared to ask her out for a drink. A little while later, Lonna insisted on accompanying Ella on a house call to a neighbouring city. There, Ella took her to the gardens and they shared their first kiss, initiated by a now impatient Ella.
They're hella married now.
Her druid mother, Katarina divorced her father when she was 5, and remarried a human man, lovely trapper named Gregory. The pair were disowned and banished over it, and came to settle in the woods near Dievton. Gregory passed a couple decades later, but Katarina still guards the trees from a little homestead by the village.
