Borek

A local butcher with an awful secret....just kidding ! Despite rumors, Borek is a kind man who wants nothing more than his daughter to be okay. He is easily overwhelemed by the thought of what tomorrow might bring...its hard to look on the bright side of things after losing so much.

Background

Four years ago, Borek and his partner had managed to upset a powerful witch so much so that a curse of death was placed on his family. Borek was able to avoid the curse, but his partner and child quickly fell ill-- his partner passing away soon after. Fearing for his child's life, Borek returned to the witch and begged them to save Charlotte. The witch, still angered at Borek for his actions, tricked him into giving up his soul in exchange for breaking the curse. The curse remained, and Borek was left without his soul-- causing his skin to turn a sickly grey.

Growing desperate to save his child's life, Borek began to research into other possible magic-- thus stumbling across the Spellhound ritual. Reading cases of the ritual curing fatal illnesses lifted his spirits, and he began to reach out to covens to try to find experienced help for the ritual. Upon finding one that agreed to help, he decided that he too would undergo the ritual so Charlotte wouldnt have to experience it alone. The ritual worked and Charlotte was showing major signs of improvement.

Or so, he thought. While the spellhound ritual did seem to hault the curse's progression, it did not break it. Two years after the ritual, his daughter started showing major signs of sudden fatigue-- not even wanting to get out of bed or eat. Borek, overcome with fear, reached out to the coven once more. They sadly had no answers...but they directed him to a hound that might be able to help.

The hound, well versed in bizarre health magic, offered a solution-- though how long it would take and how much was needed was left unanswered. Gather the blood of Spellhounds and have her take it as medicine. That was all they could offer. 

Borek now collects Spellhound blood to keep his daughter alive. He is able to gather donations and Charlotte's health seems to be steady. Hopefully, he won't run out of doners and have to get desperate...
