- Though he naturally has yellow-gold eyes, Kaisei has the ability to change their colour as needed.
- His blush is closer to gold than red, due to it being the colour of his internal lights.
- His hair's light teal-blue, fading into white.
- His charging port is under his arm, at the side of where his ribcage would be. However, it's more common for him to solar charge when possible.
- Kaisei's hair is sky blue, fading into a white at its tips. Due to him only occasionally remembering to fix it up, it's usually in a loose ponytail, with bits falling into his face.
- The inside of his coat has an entire star chart embroidered into it. Oddly enough, it has annotations on it in gold felt marker, ones that don't seem awfully scientific...
trivia . . .
- The pockets of his coat are usually full of small mechanical tools, as well as a couple of mechanical birds and items his (usually human) friends might find useful.
- Kaisei has a habit of counting the stars every night. Someday, he plans to record them all.
- He's still not the best at speaking about himself or putting himself first, but he's been getting better at it with Fiji's support— as well as the support of his family. As in, his kids. Yeah, he's a dilf.
- Fiji gave him his own last name. Gay!!
- Every so often, Kaisei gets flashes of memories that aren't his own. These are remnants of daichi that koyuki trained his initial code on. Sometimes, remembering those, he becomes a bit... contemplative.

- kaisei is the creation (or child) of daichi homura and koyuki kanzaki. he was originally concieved by daichi and koyuki when they were working on their masters overseas. after daichi died, koyuki made kaisei to resemble him, as a method of remembering his work.
- unfortunately, due to her workplace seizing creative rights to her work, kaisei was sold to a very wealthy family early in his life. there he was kept as a friend to their spoiled child, raised to please
- one day in the summer, he was dragged into the pool with the kid still in it. the kid was grievously injured, and kaisei was decomissioned.
- koyuki, in a fit of desparation, waited until he was left unguarded to steal him from the estate. not wanting him to be discovered, she locked him away in her and daichi's old lab in the woods.
- kaisei spent many of his formative years here, his isolation only kept track of by his internal clock and the exterior seasons. he had no visitors for almost two years, apart from occasional messages from koyuki.
- sometimes he wondered if he was the only person left in the universe. him and the stars. at night, he would go out onto the balcony of the lab and stare up at the stars, wondering if they were the same as him. he began to number them. they became his first friends, although it took him many more years to recognize this sentiment.
- a boy eventually found his place. cat-like and nimble, he managed to sneak into the lab when kaisei was not watching. this boy was keiji, and he was kaisei's second friend, and his only human connection for years to come.
- when he finally found a way out, it had been years since he had the chance to really talk with people outside his bubble. out of both self preservation and a lack of solidity in his own personality, kaisei began to mimic how others acted in his interactions with them. his focus centred on pleasing others, rather than figuring himself out.
- it didn't help that he had spent many of his first years being moulded to please others, after all. nor did it help that he didn't believe himself on the same level as humans, for much the similar reason.
- it would be many more years before this notion was challenged by the current love of his life. it's not an exaggeration to say that fujio nishida changed the course of his life.
FUJIO "FIJI" NISHIDA
fiance -
his first love, and the person that allowed him to grow past a life of isolation and placing himself second. he loves fiji more than he himself can comprehend. granted, the process with which the two found out they were in love was a little infuriating (mostly from kaisei's end). fiji was head over heels for kaisei, and kaisei was head over heels in turn, but because of his own nature it took him years to realize this. by that time fiji had already given him his own last name (nishida). they got engaged soon after the realization, then just forgot to marry for another few years.
LYRE NISHIDA
son -
his son, who he loves as much as he loves the stars. it's refreshing to have another person to share his interest in robotics with, alongside fiji. it was a little amusing to see lyre try to sneak into kaisei's own lab, but he didn't stop daem from staying there after finding out. he knows lyre has issues of daer own dae tends to be unsure how to sort out, and that they're issues dae doesn't think are ones to weigh others down with. he gets it. that's why he'll keep cheering daem on, providing daem with a space where dae can hide from life for a few hours, and a shoulder to lean on whenever dae is willing to.
ILIYN NISHIDA
child -
his other adoptive child, who he loves just as much as he loves lyre. iliyn's the one of the two he had a harder time connecting with at first, but after some time, they approached him themselves. while fiji is still the one they prefer to go to with their issues, as they're not quite ones kaisei would understand, kaisei deeply appreciates the moments when they come to him; whether it's to share something they've created recently or ask for a story about the stars. the time they spend together is important to him.
KOSUKE "KO" NISHIDA

the child him and fiji are working together to make. an android, like the two of them. they're still in the creation process, but they're coming close to being ready to be put together.

While Kaisei was never given his true name, he still considers him one of his closest friends. Kuruko was someone who brought the outside world to him, in his little orbit. While he hasn't seen him ever since he left the little lab in the woods, he wonders about what became of him often. What could make someone run so deep into the woods so often?
so i think... there's a kind of beauty in everything. in the time you spend with them. because there, in that moment, what you experience... you're only going to experience that once.
