Artemis was a simple white ringnecked dove, able to take a human form thanks to the crow feather earrings Princess Kreahe gave to him.
In exchange for this new ability, he works under the Princess of Crows as her subordinate - doing whatever tasks she asks of him.
He dances very well solo, but his ability in dancing with a partner seems lacking...

While initially tasked with preventing Mytho from regaining shards of his heart - Artemis once saw the courageous - but airheaded - prince leap out a window to save a fledgling bird. This selfless act moved him, and now he is beginning to wonder if he is on the right or wrong side in working with the crows.

When he does anything bird-like, he transforms back into a dove. It happens most frequently when he laughs - despite his good looks he has a terribly obnoxious laughing-dove laugh.
