Appearing as a sweet, gentle, elegant lady, Hikone is indeed dishonest, cruel, lack empathy. Bedridden most of the time due to a weak heart, her only joy was to observe people, especially ones more miserable than her. Even though the scene of people suffering sends a shiver up her spine, Hikone never directly gets her hands dirty. The only one she trusts and also the most loyal is her twin sister, although their close relationship is just a facade, resulting from Hikone mind-controlling her sister.
