Benitoite

Benitoite is a highly intelligent gem researcher and a dedicated member of Blue Diamond's court. She is very proud but sensitive and as such easily offended, though she's equally susceptible to flattery. She is also fiercely loyal to her Diamond, following her every command precisely, and despises any who would turn their backs on the Diamond Authority. Despite this and the planet's inevitable doom, she finds Earth fascinating and is pleased to have another chance to study it before it's gone.

Benitoite was originally tasked with the study of Earth, but after the war she was reassigned to an entirely new field of study experimenting with gem shards. She leads a small team of gems, who she often sends out to investigate and collect samples on her behalf, rarely leaving homeworld herself. As such, she isn't very used to field work, but now she has been sent back to Earth in person...
