Stats & SKILLS
BATTLE EDUCATION
Fay was not taught how to fight, despite being a noble. She was only taught much later in life, thus she's behind her peers in that regard. She spent much of her childhood imagining and creating scenarios to solve, since she could not read. This gives her a different insight into situations than the other tacticians.
WEAPON SKILL
Her lance skills are abysmal. She picked it initially because of the length, but never could properly wield it. Partway through the story, some of her classmates urge her to try a different weapon, and discover she's much more suited for a sword. She's barely average, at best, but she's also learning at this very moment how to wield it.
NO WEAPON SKILL
Much stronger than you'd expect. She trained her body to be able to lift her weaponry, and at the very least can throw a punch or two in a fight and make a decent dent. Against a skilled hand to hand combatant, she barely holds her ground. But she lasts much longer than you'd think. Couple that with her out of the box thinking, and she can last a fair bit.
PERSONALITY
Distrusting. Sharp Tongued. Introverted.
Fay didn't get a lot of socializing growing up, and even then it was an abusive household. Thus, she isn't the best at conversing. At times the things she says can be short and to the point, but lacking a sugar coating and often can make people less than pleased with her. At worst, she seems like a stuck up noble who wants nothing to do with others, possibly because she seems like she sees herself in high regard.
Deep down, she's trying to keep others at arms length, while also simultaneously craving to reach out. This back and forth in her heart coupled with her anxious desires makes for less than optimal relationships and situations. Once she can get her foot in the door and really trust a person though, she begins to warm up and smiles much more.
About
Fay Monet was born to a noble family. She has an elder twin sister and younger brother. She had a younger sister that was between the twins and the brother, but she passed away under "mysterious" circumstances as an infant. True it may be they're a noble family, her father is awful with wealth, preferring to spend it on what he pleased. He saw his children as merely another ticket to gather more money. Their noble status was in danger of being lost, and her father decided to sell off one of his daughters. An older man who was less than savory and known for being cruel bought Fay's elder sister. She never was seen again, and her letters stopped a few months ago.
He came back, implying interest in Fay, now, claiming the elder sister ran away. After speaking in secret to her brother about it, Fay decides to join the Royal Academy. A scary decision, considering she had absolutely no weapon skills and was barely taught to red at 10. She uses the ruse that she may find a noble or very high ranking official in the royal court to marry, so her father agrees.
Her time in the Royal Academy is spent in anguish and fear.

Relationships
Jude Marlone [ love interest ]
To be fair, they met purely because of how awful Fay was with a weapon. Jude sees her floundering with the sword, and out of pity he decides to be her teacher. Over time, the two really connect and bond. He was typically loud and brash, but still somehow gentle and soft when he really needed to. Fay found herself being attracted to him, though was too shy to admit it... as well as scared, as Jude is just a commoner boy. Still, that didn't stop her from falling for him, or pursuing a relationship once they hit that point.
