ILLUSION
CliffWing • he/him • straight
As a young dragonet, he found himself abandoned in the forest.  No name, and no way out, he was trapped.  Scared, starving and solitary, he had no one to turn to.  He traveled though the forest eating rotten floor berries and fruits, barely scraping by for years and years, until he came upon a small cliffside town.  Here, he walked alongside judgmental glances and snarky side comments.  He had no past, and apparently no future. Until he met a so called "fortune teller" who was able to distract him from his miserable present and direct him to an image of a powerful future self.  She then told him of his powers, of which he was completely unknown to.  Later, after he had become one of the common creeps, he met the "friendly neighborhood hero."  Out of spite, he already knew he was going to hate this hero.  Why had he never looked for the poor dragonet in the forest?  Him?  Why hadn't this so called "hero" tried to help him when he was alone and scared.  He was no hero, he was his enemy.  He watched the "hero" from afar, and found nothing but a kid, a kid younger than even him.  But he must've had a mentor.  Which meant he had to kill them both.  Being sneaky and mysterious like he was, others had begun to start calling him "Illusion," because of how illusive he appeared.  And after seeing the young dragon, he went to discover his own power.  His own power that he would use to strike fear into the hearts of everyday dragons, to drive them to him.  He was no hero, not like Peter, but he would make himself one.  After all, no matter if he killed a young local fraud to make a rise to power, he would.  There was no casualty too big that would deter him.
