Marty is apart of a Jazz band, but not just any old Jazz band...a serial killing Jazz band! He is the trombone player for the group, knowing how to play the instrument since he was but a young lad. He's pretty mysterious, saying cryptic one liners and disappearing and reappearing out of thin air, and no one knows why. He is a little bit like a mentor, having a few years of knowledge under his belt at such a young age, 28. Except he's not very good at explaining the advice he has to others, putting them into terms too confusing to understand, but he will genuinely help if someone needs his wisdom, no matter who they are.
Marty's past is painted with lies and betrayals, being apart of a Mafia for quite a bit of time, 7 years. He was trained for espionage and tactical battles, planning out routes for specific killings and doing the job himself. It was his way of surviving in the world, so he really couldn't complain. At 27, for reasons unknown, he was kicked out and is now being hunted down by them, now on the run. He thought a good way of getting away from them is to join a band, since they do travel a lot. So he hid out in the band's basement for a few months before revealing himself to them, joining the band after that point.
