There isn’t much that can be said about Ririka Kashizaki that couldn’t also be said about some other Instagram-famous nail artist - it just happens that she’s more famous than most. To the untrained eye, cry_stella_r is just another acrylics artist who caters to gyarus in the Tokyo area. To the trained eye, she is still that, but is also known for creating designs dedicated to various fandom characters - most notably, those from the POP!DayStars multimedia franchise, including Cry☆Stella herself. Ririka proves that, no matter the artistic medium or skill level, making fanart is apparently all you need to be popular on the Internet.

Sometimes you have just been through so much stuff in your life already that more stuff keeps happening and everyone just expects you to be okay since you’ve gotten this far. Which, yeah, Ririka probably WILL be okay in the end, but the main reason she’s gotten this far in life is a stubborn tendency to double down and overachieve in order to stay afloat. For all the grounded wisdom she loves to dispense and all of the social meddling she does to help people, Ririka is an extremely self-critical person who is decisive in what she does and also doubts herself constantly. She genuinely wants to help others with what she’s learned from her own experiences; still, the one thing she refuses to learn is how to admit defeat.
