Elusia Species Guide

General info:
Elusia's are a species of dragonic demons known for their illusionary scents and aroma magic who feed off of energies and emotions. However because of their looks they often are also seen as dark fae like species and often seem to have a rather alluring aura as people seem to be more attracted than scared of them. They mostly have dragonic like traits and all have horns that can come in many shapes and sizes which they often call "crowns". They also have (usually) one pair of pointy ears aswell as slitted pupils, pointy tongues, carnivorous teeth and most importantly their silky whiskers and wings. They are often very colorful creatures by nature and always seem to have a mix of darker and lighter body colors with a shiny middle tone but it isn't uncommon to have parts of blacks and whites aswell. Pastel colors or having full on white, black or grey hues seem to be the most rare. Their hair can come in many different colors aswell but white or black hair seem to be the most common. Just like their silk their hair is very soft to the touch and has a beatiful shine to it.

Just like normal demons elusia's can be summoned aswell with a more specific ritual which includes an arcane circle, candles, animal skulls and most
importantly a working insence burner. It is known however that they won't always work or answer to the summoning.

Feeding:
Elusia's feed off of energies and emotions to power their magic and other magical artifacts in their realm. Some even are known to feed off of people their souls which often takes multiple sessions as they can't just take someones soul in one go. Feeding off of other their energies or souls almost always happens during their victims sleep which often causes the victims to have bad dreams if not for sleep paralysis.
A session can be very energy draining depending on how strong the victim is. The more drained the easier it is for them to harvest their souls, usually there has to be a certain spell be performed when planning on harvesting a soul which again can't happen in one whole session.

Incense burners & Wings:
Elusia's are born with wing like shaped cloth that are made out of silk which often seem to ignore gravity as they float around sometimes, they are located on their lower back just above their tail and come in different lengths and shapes due to them being able to cut the wings in any way they want. Some even put certain writings or spells on their silk since they are often seen as charms. They will always have incense burners at the end of their silky wings which come in many different shapes, forms and sizes and are considered sacred to them. They make them themselves in an early stage of life of their own magic and will use their incense for most of their life as it's their main source of magic so they are very attached to them.

Incense burners:
Elusia's always have incense burners at the end of their cloth-like wings and can come in many different shapes, forms and sizes. Just like their "crowns" their incense burners are sacred to them as they make them themselves in an early stage of life of their own magic and will use their incense for most of their life as it's their main source of magic so they are very attached to them. Those without insence burners are usually weaker and often considered outcasts or aloof. Incense burners can let out many different scents which either are magically powered or by use of actual ingredients and are often decorated with tassels, petals, beads, gems or other types of decorations.

Silk (Wings):
Elusia's are born with wing like shaped cloth that are made out of silk and often seem to ignore gravity as they float around sometimes although it isn't uncommon to see them hanging down. They are located on their lower back just above the tail and can come in different lengths and shapes due to them being able to cut the wings in any way they want. The silky cloth are often considered wings due to the fact they look like the lower wings of a luna moth and besides decorating their tail they sure do love to decorate their silky wings aswell. Some even put certain writings or spells on it since they are often also seen as charms like the japanese omamori charms. In very rare cases some are able to have upper wings which are usually made out of pure magic and can have different shapes unlike their silk.

Cutting wings:
Their wings can be cut for fashion and accesoire purposes. It doesn't hurt them at all, however only the parts closest to their back are more sensitive, therefor it's never allowed to cut them extremely short. It's very unusual for them to cut any part of the top parts of the wings as it's often seen as an insult to cut those parts.

Horns (crowns):
All Elusia's have horns that grow in as they age which are referred to as "crowns" and do not always grow at the same time nor are they always symmetrical. symmetrical horns are most desired but they do admire more unique horns aswell. How big horns will grow all depends on genetics. Their horns always have markings or sometimes areas that glow showing their magic/aura color. It's a huge insult to damage or break another's horn and will not go unpunished.

Age:
Elusia's do not physically age and can live for many years, however that doesn't mean they are immortal or can't die as they still can become sick, cursed, infected or killed. Magic sickness is also one of the causes when one uses more energy or magic than they have causing their body to shut down and weaken as their body relies partly on magic.
