OPIA

Beings who are very very good with fire magic and used to be very cruel and self indulging
After hundreds of years their kind felt sorry for what they did and most dedicated themself to help others.
They produce drugs and medication from herbs and more.
>the insence they burn has different purpose /healing effect/calming effect etc.

Anatomy from top to bottom
General
- Height: 150- 190cm | They stop growing after the age of 20
- Not very strong, after all they rely on their fire magic a lot

Flames*
Their flames are not dangerous nor do they burn.
Some Opias have flames, some don't. The bigger the flame the more magic is within their body.

3rd Eye*
Third eyes are pretty common among them. Theres a supersticion of them being able to look into the future, yet that's not really true.
Some of them like to fool around and use card tricks or tarot cards on naive people tho for quick money.

Eye on Hand
If Opias have a 3rd eye they also have the eye's pattern on their hand. If an Opia does not have a 3rd eye they can still have an eye pattern on their hand yet it's not an absolute must.

Ears
Ears can range from one point to 5 points + the additional cloth is a MUST for everyone as it is a symbol from
love of your family. If one does not have a family it is most likely given to from friends, which sometimes ends up in the cloth looking ...well like a patchwork blanket! Tho that doesn't mean it's bad, it just means your friends care~ There's no shaming anyone for their cloth.

Fluff
Fluff occures on Opias that are more in the northern region. Sometimes Opias in the desert are born with fluff, tho they shave it off because it's just too hot for them. Fluff can occure on the neck, forearm, thighs and ankles.

Tail
Their tail is very soft and very silk, it gives off the illusion of smoke. So people believe that the little lantern they carry with them is the source of their enormous fluffy tail. Yet if you'd touch it, you'll realize that it's just fur.
The tail can have any colour, yet towards the lantern it often changes to a neutral colour-- that is not a must though- most just have a smokier tailend hah
(keep in mind they're supposed to look like the source of the tail)

Horn
Sometimes they grow horns which is a manifestation of great magical ability (Rarely happens in Royal Opias as they lack ability)

Lantern
The lantern is something very important to them. They use it to burn their self made incense.
Most Opias have a favorite type of incense which they mostly use. If 2 Opias are in love they exchange incense and let it burn during the wedding or important occasions, whatever they prefer. If an Opia does NOT have a Lantern then they most likely......suck at healing, tho there are many shops which offern lanters so they might be obtainable at a different time.

---------------------------

Opias are very wise when it comes to sickness and healing them.
There are many who use it for different stuff tho.
Need to make people "high" and give them a feverdream. OH I got something for you.
Problem with sleeping? Well there sure is someone to help you out.
Feeling stressed and need to relax? Some aromatherapie while relaxing will do wonders

* Stuff with a star is common but NOT A MUST

Poison Type

Poison Type Opias have a few additional traits. All of these traits are  Optional for their type yet it's uncommon to find Poison Opias without  Hip fins as they hide poison glands.

Pads
Poison  Opias can have paw pads. They're filled with some kind of jelly like  poison. The surface of the paw itself is actually very smooth, soft and  fun to kneat-- but Opias do have retractable barbs on the surface which  makes them not so pleasant to the touch if they aren't retracted. They  work like the barbs on a stinging nettle and also have the same effect.  If the thin barbs break when they are being touched, they emit poison.  It can irritate the skin but that's about it-- it gives off a stinging  sensation when first stung but nothing more. This mechanism is for  chasing away predators and keeping them confused/occupied till the opia  can get away

Hip Fins
Hip Fins are rather common amongs Poison types. They hide poison glands that emit a very sickly sweet smell when Opias feel threatened. The skin underneath the fins is very senstive and soft to touch. Most Fins are rather solid but there are types that have rather "smokey" fins-- they're solid on top but become more translucent the longer they get. Opias only have 2 fins and one smaller fin inbetween the bigger ones.

Small Fin pairs
The small fins can appear throughout the whole body, but they only come in pairs. It's incredibly uncommon for Opias to have 1,3 or 4 small fins at once. While there can appear mutiple pairs throughout the whole body they just shouldn't cluster around one area. They're filled with the same jelly as the pads but they're MUCH thinner and very soft to the touch. They do not contain any barbs as they're more like a storage area. Fins that grew in a very impractical place are surgically removed.

Incense
Poison Opias incense don't really have healing properties, while some are able to heal others with their incense it's very very hard for them to do so. Normally their incense have a very sickly sweet smell just like the poison from their glands, which are under their hips. The scent causes hallucinations, insomnia, nightmares, disorientation and sometimes even incredible pain. While the smell itself doesn't harm the "victims" body physically, the smell somewhat stimulates nerve ends which send a wrong signal to the person's brain, causing them to feel pain.

Breath
One additional trait that all Poison Opias have, is that they can exhale some of their own incense's scent mixed with poison. Basically they're able to give their "victim" a death kiss if they wanted to, since the poison is lethal if it is inhaled directly. Some learned to change this ability into a somewhat useful healing kiss yet there's only a chance of 1 in 1000 for them to master it.

Royals
Royals are basically the upper class in the Opia society. Due to selective mating, basically choosing mates with the right traits, they have a very special look most other Opias don't have. These types of fins mostly occure only exclusively on Royals. The world views these types of fins pretty much like a beauty symbol. Because of that, when a Royal commits a severe crime, their fins are going to get cut off. This will make them feel extremely ugly and none of the other Royals will socialize with them anymore, as they're a very superficial bunch most of the time. When a Royal mates with another Opia, who isn't a Royal, and their kid has Royal-type fins, then they are often cut off to keep them save from Royals, who might try something bad, as the child wasn't made within the Royal society. They often like to describe these children as "tainted".

Royals have it a lot easier in the world and they think of themselves as something better as well, even through they're actually less skilled in magic or healing than normal Opias or Poisontype Opias. Royals are more prone to the 3rd eye trait as well. Their body is fairly tender and less likely to have any kind of excessive fur. Due to their weak and tender body, they gained a different skill. They have the ability to make others hallucinate. It's still unknown how exactly they're doing that, though some people assume that they're able to pull this off with their third eye, which is really just a guess since not every Royal has the third eye.

Also:
- Royals do not have flames, due to the lack of magic and the ability to use it.
- a Royal's fins have NO USE WHATSOEVER--- they're seriously just there because it's a beauty symbol

OVERALL TRAITS (Traits spreading across all types)
Gem Geode Mutation
The Geode Gem Mutation is a rather unpleasant but not outright dangerous mutation. Opias with this genetic defect, will experience the crystallization of various parts of tissue throughout their body. Luckily Movement is only slightly slowed down due to the weight of the mineral and the joints are usually not affected. Another lucky point is that the crystallization does not spread throughout the body and therefore only affects certain spots. On a bad note, once these spot are damaged due to impact and break open, they reveal a geode like structure underneath which sadly can't be fixed, but only treated to prevent further cracking.

Sufferers from this disease tend to grow gem like horns (which can be removed or filed down painlessly), as well as have a more shiny or partly even glittering fur as the keratin mixes with gem particles. This Mutation is otherwise well loved in the royal community for its beauty, completely disregarding the discomfort it causes the affected person. Beauty is pain.
Other than the horns and fur, these gems shouldn't grow outside the body.
