Mikhail is the gruff but unassuming bartender-slash-owner of a gritty little underground neighborhood dive called The Last Bastion. It’s a small, dimly-lit space, with concrete walls plastered in photos and art and articles: a haven for the local monsterfolk, who know well that its unfriendly atmosphere is much more cover than truth. In time, even a human trusted enough by the bar’s inhuman regulars might be allowed a less filtered glimpse at the truth.

Mikhail himself is a young vampire, barely a few years into his undeath after having been killed while attempting to escape anti-gay persecution in Eastern Europe. Still, for his efforts and his loyalty, he is well-loved by his community; as he protects them, so too do they protect him. He is a steadfast ally to the Deadman Gang, as his job allows him a nigh-unending flow of information.
