Personality
Level headed and often atrociously languid. He doesn't say much on his down turns, but can actually be very sociable when up. He's a lax and hard-to-get-to-know kind of guy, and comes off as a reluctant recluse, and is like that purposely. He dislikes what he is as it tends to put him in a lot of less-than-stellar situations. He's the type that is envious of a sedimentary lifestyle and probably lacks ambition because of it.
Powers
Drain ▪ He can suck up the life force put out by the living organisms around him. For example the more hyped up and invigorated the people near him are the more energy there is to feed off of. His proximity to the source affects how efficiently the energy is absorbed. The more energy taken the more the adverse affects donors are likely to feel. When used properly this provides him a boost to his own metabolic processes and can be channeled into pseudo abilities like regeneration, going without sleep, heightened senses or provide a boost to his physical prowess.
Strain ▪ His gaze can be off putting, or alluring or just plain and hypnotic if used in the right situation. It functions like a suggestion backed by an inexplicably primal need fulfill it on the receiver's end. The potency or, how strong the resulting need is, can be intensified to the point where the receiver must actively resist, or if the target is weak-willed, it'll resemble outright body control. Doing so however requires a lot of concentration and allocation of resources from the user, therefore, it's most often used on the subtle end of the spectrum. In this way the victim might hardly realize the suggestion was anything more than rogue thought or a short-lived irrational impulse.
