Sorcha

WIP bio

Sorcha is the epitome of a fiery red head. She's a highland witch with powers to match her temper. A warm cottage wedged between a craig & packed trees is her sanctuary, rarely braving trips into inhabited areas. Drying herbs dangle from the ceiling, hearth brightly lit, with a bubbling pot sat in her floor. She's proud of her heritage, but not all see it the same way. Her craft specializes in potions; poison being her specialty.

When she was just a wee thing, a war scarred the land. Her family were Ceàrdannan, peacefully traveling the Scottish wilds. Little Sorcha learned the craft from her mother, who shared her gifts. Her father was a splendid storyteller & farrier. Kind, generous folk. The battle still found them. Ravaged & set ablaze, her people fled but not fast enough. Screams, blindingly bright blazes, blood. She watched in shocked silence as her father crumpled with an axe buried to his heart.

Her mother threw her onto the back of an old mare, hauled up behind her, & kicked the mare into a frenzied gallop.
