♡ Cupid

A long lost cowboy whose brain is dedicated to two things-- being goofy and loving his husband. He's still getting used to the modern world, not used to it at all due to his disappearance from this dimension for who knows how long. In all his spare time now, he enjoys cooking and going on adventures with his husband.

Bio

Cupid grew up in a dusty town in the middle of no where. The town was small but close, this neighborly vibe rubbing off on Cupid at a young age. He was taught to always help others, whether they be a friend or stranger.

This need to help others eventually resulted in Cupid becoming sheriff of the town when he was older. He followed his morales and kept the town safe for years, though things quickly went spiraling out of his control when a strange creature no one had ever seen before appeared nearby.
Not before long the creature reached town, and Cupid--unable to fend it off-- watched in wounded misery as it rampaged and destroyed nearly half of his home. He felt crushed and powerless, knowing if the creature came back he and his neighbors surely would die.

This lead him to looking for a new approach to keeping his town safe, eventually finding the spellhound ritual. Without much thought he went through with it, returning with enough strength to kill the creature.

Despite taking down the creature, the town did not rejoice his efforts. Instead he was ridiculed for his current state and for working with the devil, the town agreeing he should be executed by morning. They felt someone who worked with the devil could not be trusted, and would only curse the town to more hardships in the future.

The sudden change in atmosphere his town had towards him despite doing it to save them crushed his soul. Cupid was locked up and left in a broken state, unsure what to do now that everyone who he ever loved wanted him dead. It quickly became too much for him to process, his emotional state shutting down completely and giving up on fighting back.

That was, until, a group of misfit bandit spellhounds stopped by his town. The word of the creature was quick to spread to those interested in strange, magical arts...almost sensing there was more to the story. One of the bandits managed to bust Cupid out of his cell to give him another shot at life. He was hesitant, but went with him and never looked back.

For a while, he was just one of the new recruits in the group...but he felt himself growing more and more attatched to the bandit that saved him. They showed him a life he never knew, and a life where he could learn to trust his loved one again. After years of being together, the two got married-- wanting to always be by the other's side.

Unfortunately, the universe had other plans for Cupid.

Cupid's kindess and need to help others despite his hardships, along with great potential for using incredible amounts of power for good, lead him to be chosen by Celestial Beings to recieve their power as a gift. Or so they said. He was unfortunately, in reality, moreso picked as a pawn to keep the Beasts entertained, not expecting him to overcome the void they lived in.
One day without much warning, Cupid found himself being torn from his husband's arms into the Celestial Void-- the only thing remaining of him on the mortal plain being his right glove.

Cupid was trapped in the void for hundreds of years in the Celestial time scape-- the only thing keeping him alive at this point being the determination to see his husband again. After countless trials he finally found his way through the empty darkness to the home of the Celestial Beasts. Their schemes were revealed, but seeing as he made it to them they granted him their powers. Cupid was fused with a Beast-- becoming a Celestial Being himself. Now having the Beast's eyes, he could finally see the world around him rather than the blank dark void he had seen all those years.

After being taught how to use his magic and open his own portals to come and leave the Celestial Void as he pleased, he returned to his world to find his husband. He was hit by a huge shock seeing what the world had become while he was gone, but tried to ignore it and push on. He met with several hounds in attempt to find his love, and was eventually able to locate him.

They were blissfully reunited and are now basically inseparable. He still explores and travels the world with his husband when time allows like they used to....but at the end of the day they now have a home to come back to.
