He grew up in a household which was restricting. ROADKILL had been protected since the day he were born by his parents who claimed he was frail and unwilling to look after himself even though he reached adulthood. They went through drastic lengths to hide him, including shielding his life from the rest of the world, which meant that very few people realized their family even had a child. Owing to their place in the society, their parents wanted their child to be well behaved and professional, which ROADKILL secretly disagreed with, leading him to hate the care of his parents.

He became the older sibling to two sisters. Because of the constraints imposed on them by their parents and the reality that his guardians waited for him for everything, ROADKILL always appeared to try to take on the responsibility and enjoy the freedoms of adult life. This created difficulties for himself and his family, most importantly during their visit to LA, because they did not really take into consideration how this could harm him or render it worse. However, no matter how they behaved, many knew that beneath all that they appeared to be, they were always weak.

When their parents discovered that ROADKILL was not only bisexual but rather known as non-binary, they further restricted him. ROADKILL ran away from home, living with friends until he eventually had his own residence. He acts polite and well-mannered around adults, but sometimes this action is a ruse that masks a defiant trickster 's heart. He is highly immune to strict and irrational modes of authority and order dependent upon power. ROADKILL also exhibited a modernist attitude, believing that change is the key to progress, due to his troubled past with his parents. For his defiant actions, he has faced much ridicule, abuse, resistance and even a few death threats, whether it be from his bullies, estranged family members, disapproving comments left on his posts, etc. While being outwardly loyal, ROADKILL stays intensely defiant, blunt, aggressive, and skilled in taunting and humiliating the people who pick on his and his friends on occasion. Everything he really gets out of existence is to become his own person and have the independence that as a kid he had already lost.
