Iscarius is known as a scholar with the Durmand Priory, who specialises in energetics. His proficiency for field work and combat keep him from the nice permanent desk job he longs for, frequently being sent to the far reaches of Tyria to aide research groups. Most recently he spent a brief spell in Amnoon city to help transport data and artefacts back to the Priory HQ for study. Apparently, he has been told (yet again) that to truly excel he must embrace life outside of academia and is reluctantly on a quest to do as such.

Appearance

Iscarius' leaves are a vibrant green and hosta like, bedding a floppy lilac flower atop his head. They often look a little wild, often falling over his face, and his bark is the same strong green as his leaves and mostly plain. Iscarius can normally be seen in either flowing leafy robes that match his colours or in somewhat scragglier than standard Priory robes. His eyes are extremely dark but red in colour to those close enough to see. He sometimes wears glasses. He is a very short and slender sylvari, who looks as though a strong breeze might carry him off. His luminescence is teal and bright.

Personality

Anyone who has heard of Iscarius may have heard that he is naïve, somewhat clumsy and hopeless at dealing with people. They may also have heard that he is extremely intelligent, caring and hardworking (perhaps to the point of being unhealthy).

Notable Relationships

Iscarius may have been frequently seen with a human woman named Lucinellia Lyndra, and their interactions depending on when they were seen could lead one to believe they were either work colleagues or lovers. It is also likely he has been seen with a cantankerous sylvari necromancer named Nickori, though it’s probably hard to tell if they’re enemies or the best of friends. His very first supervisor with the Priory was an asuran scholar named Ena, who people say continues to be his mentor to this day. It’s very possible Iscarius has been seen swiftly walking in the opposite direction of a sylvari mesmer called Drahere, but if you’d met him you probably would too.

Childhood

Iscarius was very quiet as a sapling, mostly keeping himself to academic study. That said, he seemed to be friends with a minor troublemaker who awakened at the same time as him, and the pair had some sort of feud with an older sylvari. He hasn’t been known to talk much of his first year, claiming it was very uneventful. He left the Grove to join the Priory when he was only a year old.

Strengths

It’s no secret (though possibly surprising) among those who have heard of him that Iscarius is skilled with offensive magic and scientific research.

Weaknesses

Iscarius is known to lack physical and social grace, to be rather gullible and also to have a fairly prominent fear of animals.
