Since they were but a child, all Florens Wylan recalled was life with their sister, Harkin. Florens was brought up by his elder sister, and despite her not being a great deal older than he was, they had fared fine without their parents. Though it puzzled them, Florens never tried to pry answers from Harkin, as they knew it was a topic that she wasn't exactly comfortable dealing with. Instead, they tried to search for answers on their own, but never went too far in pursuit of the truth, since it wasn't such a big priority in their life then.

Florens' life was filled with comfort and left them longing for nothing most of the time. Their every need was attended to by Harkin- who'd been able to open a shop of her own, as well as the townspeople who cared for them when the siblings required it. They were taught by Harkin and another with in the area named Weir Delvaux, who served as a mentor-figure to both Harkin and Florens. A certain family in town with the surname ' Di Rossi ' had warmed up to the both of them, and soon the family's only child, Senritsu had become very close with Florens.

They were never as in-tune with their sorcery as Harkin, and Florens had no intention of wanting to improve. For them, life was just being laid back and enjoying the little things and happy moments. Though it disheartened Harkin to know that Florens had been drifting further away from their studies of magic, she didn't want to force her little sibling to continue if it meant making them unhappy. This caused Florens to not only be criticized harshly by their mentor, but also known around the town as an ignorant sorcerer who disregarded their family's powerful heritage.

In the beginning, Florens paid no mind to this, but eventually, the talk around town only encouraged them to suddenly pursue answers of their family's background. One day, however, Florens disappeared from the town and seemingly the face of the universe. Many believed them to be abducted, or worse, but some like Harkin and Sen would not cease their search. Unbeknownst to the town, Florens ended up in a garden enveloped in curses and sorcery where they would meet someone very special to them- someone Florens was willing to sacrifice their life for, if it meant breaking the curse she was under.
