Personality: Hikaru comes across as sweet and innocent, fans of hers tend to prefer that type of appeal. Although she is a kind person, she has had a traumatic past which she keeps hidden. She loves the character Spook! loving ghost type things in general, having no connection to Halloween being her birthday. She has been in training to be an idol since she was in middle school. She never had a normal life, never had close friends, never had a boyfriend. She works hard and is very determined and loyal to her fans. People often think she is younger then she is, however she is very mature and can handle slander and other such annoyances in the business. She is a professional and wants to keep it that way, although she has always dreamed of a shoujo like romance and tends to favourite love songs. She loves sweets and gets extremely excited when eating them. She loves her sleep but will wake up early if necessary. She is very smart and can be a bit dark at times, known to go from one extreme to the next. She has always been a hard worker who gives everything her all, and she loves to sing with all of her heart. She wanted to be an idol from a young age and sacrificed her youth for rigorous practice. ✭ HISTORY✭

After Hikaru’s father died, she was taken in by her loving grandparents, until they both passed away in her late teens. During middle school and high school, Hikaru worked hard to graduate with good grades meanwhile working to be an idol. Training her body and voice to be the best, before eventually getting scouted by Yaotome Productions. After meeting her partner Koharu, Hikaru finally made a bond, and her first real friend. Once TRIGGER was formed and introduced to Hikaru, she made even more bonds. Even more, finally understanding what it was like to have a brother. While Hikaru is scared to get close to others, she values those she loves and would do anything for them.

✭PERSONAL TRAGEDY✭

Hikaru’s past is something she never once talked about. Until the day her worst fears became reality. The news got hold of the story of her past. She grew up in a small town with her parents. Her father named her Hikaru because she shone so brightly. He knew she was meant for great things, to make people happy. Her mother was depressed and mentally ill, one night fighting with her father, stabbed him in front of Hikaru. Once she realized what she did, Hikaru’s mother ran, leaving Hikaru crying over her father’s dead body. Hikaru called the police and her mother was caught. Eventually being imprisoned for life. Hikaru was then taken in by her father’s parents. She spent her years training to become an idol, so she could live up to what her father wanted. For her to shine. Hikaru changed her last name after moving in with her grandparents. Moving to a different city and trying to move on in life. After becoming an idol, having this get out destroyed her. The last thing she wanted was for her fans to pity her, for her to be known as the idol with a tragic past.

✦Koharu Ito(OC): Koharu is Hikaru’s partner in VIRTUE and her best friend. It was hard at first for Hikaru to open up to someone, but in time she found Koharu to be full of love and support. Despite how close they are, the two haven’t talked much about their past. Hikaru finds the present to be most important and doesn't want to ruin what they have. Koharu can easily read Hikaru, so she notices right away when Hikaru falls for Sogo. It’s sweet to watch, but she is worried. Their jobs are hard, it’s impossible to have a normal life. But they both want happiness for each other. Koharu is one person that Hikaru can confide in. She knows that Koharu is someone she will have in her life forever.

✦Tenn Kujo: Tenn is one of the most important people in the world to Hikaru. Even though he is younger, he acts like an older brother to her. Tenn doesn't hold his tongue around Hikaru, something she appreciates. She knows that he will always be upfront and honest, even when she doesn't want to hear it. He was rather harsh with her about starting a relationship with Sogo, but seeing how happy Hikaru was made him accept it.

✦Tamaki Yotsuba: Hikaru adores Tamaki! She loves to spoil him, and even though Sogo told her to cut back, Hikaru still brings Tamaki more pudding than he can eat. Tamaki is important to Sogo, being his partner, so Hikaru always makes sure to smooth their relationship out when they fight or don't understand each other. In an odd way, Hikaru babies him like he was her own child. After everything he has been through, Hikaru wants him to make sure he knows he is loved and will never be alone again.

✦Momo: Hikaru and Momo are very close friends. Both have been in the industry for a while and have bonded over time. Momo loves getting a rise out of Hikaru, which is rather easy. Both rely on each other when they need to vent, plus they are both very supportive and positive.

✦Gaku Yaotome: Hikaru and Gaku have a good relationship as friends. They are both rather upfront and speak their minds. Gaku is another person that Hikaru goes to for advice or just to talk. He thinks of her as a little sister, so even if they aren’t related, if anyone messes with Hikaru, Gaku will involve himself.

✦Ryuunosuke Tsunashi: Like with the rest of the TRIGGER members, Hikaru is close with Ryuu too. She knows what kind of person he is, and that his “image” weighs his heart down from time to time. Hikaru thinks that Ryuu is perfect for Koharu, and is very supportive of their developing relationship

✦Riku Nanase: Hikaru adores Riku, she thinks he is just the sweetest. Because of how close she is to Tenn, Hikaru often watches over Riku for Tenn’s sake as well. She may not understand why Tenn can’t socialize with Riku, but she knows that Tenn loves him, so she wants to do for him what Tenn currently cannot.

✦Yuki: Hikaru is very fond of Yuki, she finds him amusing. He loves to tease her, which she always falls for. Yuki is very talented, but sometimes aloof. Hikaru is never sure what he is thinking.

✦Yamato Nikaido: Yamato loves to tease Hikaru, especially when it comes to Sogo. Hikaru knows that Yamato is a kind person who cares deeply for his members. She is relieved to know that someone like him is watching over Sogo and the others. She enjoys going out drinking with him.

✦Mitsuki Izumi:Hikaru thinks Mitsuki is amazing, he is always so positive and hard working. Hikaru admires what he has accomplished. The two get along very well, especially when they start working on a drama together.

✦Tsumugi Takanashi:Hikaru is very fond of Tsumugi. Having a girl so close to Sogo would normally make Hikaru very anxious. Though she knows how hardworking Tsumugi is and trusts her completely. Since Hikaru also knows that Gaku has a thing for her, she always talks him up when the two girls talk.

✦Sogo Osaka: Sogo means everything to Hikaru. When she first discovered MEZZO” she instantly developed a crush on him. Not just because he reminded her of her favourite character, but she saw something deeper in his eyes that intrigued her. After the two became friends, it was an emotional roller-coaster for both. It was the first time Hikaru fell in love, and she fell hard. Wanting to be close to him became too much and even if it compromised her morals, Hikaru needed to be with him. After the two got together, keeping their relationship secret was challenging, but so worth it. Hikaru feels safe with him, accepted down to her core. She loves seeing the side of him which he suppresses, there is not a single part of him she doesn't love. Hikaru knew that she was meant to be with him, the thought of a future together makes her happier then she thought possible. The concept of family is something Hikaru struggles with, but she knows that Sogo is someone who would never hurt or betray her. Hikaru also tries to help Sogo’s issues with his family. She wants his father to accept him, she knows it still torments Sogo. There isn’t anything Hikaru wouldn't sacrifice for him, but she also knows he would do the same.
