- kacha aged out of his foster home, but he sticks around to protect the younger kids from their abusive foster father (and by that i mean he takes the abuse in their place)

- kachas hair isnt the right length to be braided the way it usually is. his foster father is too lazy/cheap to take him to get it cut so either he or kacha did it themselves and now its all uneven, so kacha puts it up in braids the reduce the damage
