Aquarius the Zodiac Diety

   Aquarius is a loner Diety who takes homage over one of the Seven Seas in the early years of the birthing of World. Seen as an angry Diety by the humans who roam his lands, they often attempt to please him with various offerings - From fair young woman to small offerings of food-which never seem to do much for him.The food normally given to his Nymphs or washed away, the young woman washed back up on the shore. He more than often rejects the gifts given which in turn makes the humans think they have angered him even more. Which only drives them to try even harder. This only makes Aquarius think even lower of the human kind.
  Aquarius lives with his brothers Clan as a second in command but often does little seeing as his brothers family does well to take care of their kin. The wife a seasoned Warrior and their child a sorceress in the making. Also if Aquarius aids while angered -which is most the time it seems- often times there are casualties. A small clan doesn't need that.
    Aquarius can often be found within his own cave cubby, tending to his Sea Star Collections or creating more water Nymphs to aid the clan where he can not. His help usually most liked in this way. For the Water Nymphs are plentiful and very willing to help. Bringing joy where there is sorrow. Or able to fetch things a Mer can not.
   His cave upon looking at the entrance may make one guess that it is a very small space but once passed the frame it is proven to be much larger. Very spacious and filled with very many curious things. Things in which Aquarius will not allow to be touched. He's a collector or sorts. Whether it's from odd skeletons of the dearly moved on, or small trinkets he does find himself liking from the humans. Or even gifts given to him by other of his kin.
  One way to ever get on Aquarius' good side is to simply offer up a SeaStar. It is not known to others why he adores the things but it has proven helpful when wishing to get something out of him. Or even to just calm him own in the slightest. Rumor has it that by offering him up a special sea star, you may even have your life spared.
It was once believed that Aquarius would be one of the few in his Clan to stay as One for the rest of his days. He never sought out a mate, nor did anyone in his Clan ever catch his eye. Though he caught many. It had come to the Clan that maybe being a Diety and in such a position where he had to Will the Ocean and make sure the lands had plenty of water, that maybe a mate just wasn't in his future. Maybe the Dieties weren't meant to be allowed that pleasure.
   At least that was the theory until he met the Archer. Sagittarius. A foreign Centaur sent to spread his stars in Regions his Kin could not. Having almost drowned and eaten by an enemy of Aquarius' clan, Sagi was rescued at the last minute. Although the Water Bearer had half a mind to let him be eaten, seeing as he had...trotted within his territory unbenounced.  Fortunate for Sagittarius, Aquarius' heart isn't all that cold for someone who was so kind as to gift him with the most intriguing Sea Star ever.
   The two would grow to be close. Finding any way they could to see each other. Be with each other. Despite the dangers of a land being seeking out an Aquatic. Or even an Aquatic attempting to go on land. They made it work. Eventually through out the centuries the two would near lose each other plenty of times. From being torn away from the continental drift, to even being swept away and placed into a Zoo. A glass the one thing keeping them apart. And finally finding one another again upon the land and sea of Grei.
   Like other friends an acquaintances, after a great war they would finally settle down in a small cozy area of their land. Soon bringing birth to an interesting beast. A small and fragile Kelpie they went on to name Nessi.

Aquarius as a parent:
   At first , it was an odd thing, Aquarius thought, that he and Sagittarius had somehow given life to a Kelpie. Suppose that is rather logical should a mythical being of the Zodiacs, Aquarius and Sagittarius , ever make a child. Not even bothering to be surprised that the two , both males, have even given life to a baby at all! But nevertheless, A beast be birthed. No matter. It was love at first hatching. Aquarius loved the child instantly and would quickly take to helping the horse guppie to learn to swim. Both parents taking their turns. Aquarius will only ever show such a gentle nature when around his whole family. Though doesn't keep the snarky comments towards his mate though. His compassion is poured into both husband and son.
   He is often very supportive in his childs' tendencies to drown things. But is cautious and often watches him. Making sure he doesn't drown too many of one thing or anything or one important. He is normally addressed by Nessi as 'Father'or just 'Dad'  whereas Nessi will address Sagittarius as 'Dad' or more so often, 'Pops'. This merely signifies to them that he views Aquarius as a more graceful parent, almost motherly and Sagittarius as the 'DadJokes' one, laid back and openly loving. More so than Aquarius admits he is when it is just them.

Aquarius and Sagittarius would learn to let go of the world they once cherished. Well...Not so much Aquarius. As stated before, he despised humans and how inferior they could be. Once he had to be stopped from drowning the world. What with everything the earthlings had done to him and most importantly his love, Sagittarius had felt it best they leave the world of the humans. 

 As the Keeper of the Waters of Grei, Aquarius is the 'head honcho' in which those of the waters answer to and sometimes seek advice. Though most often, he's not one to want to hold council. So it's often bribed of him via Sagittarius. His people find Aquarius of the right kind of temper mental authority. Something completely new from what he had with the humans. The folk of the water both respect and fear him. Not for his personality alone, but for what he has done. Helping to restore the once poisoned waters and aiding to rise fallen cities of the waters. his ability to purify the waters needed to help not only the water folk to live but the lands inhabitant as well. Without his help, Grei would still be on the brinks of death due to the mere fact the waters were too toxic. Though he also gave heed to those who had adapted to the dark waters, sectioning off borders so that the people of Grei knew what waters held who and what. 

Aquarius has flourished much more in the lands of Grei than he felt he ever would among humans. And he likes it that way.
