The two of them have always had a rivalry type of a relationship since the academy and up to the events of order 3066 where they were assigned various assignments together in Ishval. During this time they started a friends with benefits type of fling to take their minds off of the horrors of war. Their fling however didn't last long as Kimblee had betrayed their commanding officers and was set for death's row.
Seven years later during the events of Edward Elric's story Blade runs into a familiar face at Briggs, one she thought was supposed to be dead. Blade at this point is still severely disgusted by his former actions, and upon finding out that the state kept him alive after them only rubbed salt in that wound. She actively tries to avoid him as much as she can outside of business, but Kimblee is adamant on pestering her. At some point Kimblee corners Blade enough to figure out their differences and they go back to a fling sort of relationship.

1916+ (AU Events)
Following Kimblee's death and the destruction of Father, Camella helped out at central sorting and keeping peace as the government changed hands. It was here in passing she had overheard Fullmetal mention that Kimblee's soul was still together inside Pride's stone. This fact gnawed on Camella's mind, tempting her to take it, especially once she found out she had become pregnant with the twins. In a moment unlike her she had stolen the stone and annouced her retirement due to pregnancy, however, she was using this as cover to learn how exactly human transmutation would work with the stone. It took her only months to figure out most of the method, but with the twins on the way she didn't want to put them into harms way or leave them parentless so she waited. Once the boys were in grade school she had made her move and committed the greatest alchemy sin.
It wasn't until a week later and some rest Glen let her go back to her house with him to check on the body. Most of the house was still as she left it, give or take the broken door and ramshackled office, but there was no body left, that is until a gruff voice spoke up behind them asking how she did it.

"This man is almost my equal in terms of alchemical skill, looks like I'll have to work harder to earn that top in class spot."
"Why him of all people? He annoys me to no end, shows that he doesn't care for life, and is all around infuriating."
"Why the hell is that man still alive? He was supposed to be dead for what he did! Now he's standing right next to me with that stupid smug grin of his."
"It's like I took in a stray back in Ishval and it just keeps following me around for more."
"He's... I can't believe it, there's no way that roach didn't survive...."
"I had overheard Fullmetal mention in pass that his soul was still singular in the stone, perhaps... no I can't that's against what we stand for."
"He did not- He got me pregnant! That fucker!"
"If this doesn't work then frankly I don't know what I'll do."
"Glen won't let me or the boys back to our house, but I need to know."

"Who is this girl who thinks she could be better than me? Even still her skills are obvious, I should like to spar with her often."
"Getting to know her, she's fun to tease and rile up. Strong to her convictions about life. However could use some lessons that people are expendable"
"Who would have thought this sort of relationship would develop. I won't lie the distraction from the rest of the world for the short amount of time is much needed."
"I wonder if she would visit?"
"That was quite a face she made upon seeing me again after seven years. I suppose if you see someone you believed dead, that would be the reaction."
